Had my guide request shop access. Would be cool to snag a truck early and mix up the configuration a little.
It's funny the 2022 vs 2023 discussion in here. I can buy a 2023 vehicle right now from other brands. In fact most manufacturers start producing next model year vehicles in the fall of...
I'm Feb-Mar '23 timeline but love following this thread. After confirming config in Nov, ETA changed to processing estimate. I did email my guide and asked for Shop access, which he replied that he requested it. Getting close!
Talk about polar opposites R1S to 4R! I was just joking with a friend the other day how comically outdated the 4-Runner is both in Powertrain and Design (seriously, less than 20mpg in a mid sized SUV with no power is super bad). New one coming in '24 I heard...
Electric Semi Delivered to Pepsi this week is a huge win.
Tesla's free Autopilot set the bar, and works well. (FSD beta looks cool too, even with it's issues)
Imagine hauling a trailer with autosteer to assist you, no gears, central seating for the best view, no jake brake noise, etc...It will...
Great idea, go for it. At 800+ per day you will make enough cash to cover potential losses. (Can charge way more if you plan to make it a camping rig, though sending EV-noobs into woods is daunting.)
Man those conditions are poor. I'd probably move.
I like snow driving, but not at night. I barely like driving at night in the dry. Careful out there.
"Work trucks" come with low tech halogens specifically for this issue (and cost). My Chevy Colorado headlights might melt snow, but they don't...
Neat discussion here about Toyota falling behind. Remember they lobbied against EV friendly laws and credits. Their reliability advantage depends on engines. (Their only electric car got a stop sale recall for wheels falling off - sound familiar?) I'm seriously wondering if Toyota will be a...
I'm going with Black. So tiring hear everyone complain that black is dirtier looking etc. Wash your dang cars! I've had all various colors of vehicle and to me, they all look dirty when they are dirty, but black looks better.
Sure would be nice not to have the ugly oversized ccs connectors on everything for the next 10 years. It's embarrassing how bad the design looks compared to the Tesla plug. Like a bunch of rookies designed it.
Seems like A LOT of people got the "We are ready to build your vehicle" even with prior windows well into 2023. I think they are just trying to lock in as many configurations as possible to stabilize supply and production. I got REAL excited at first, now I suspect it will still be a while...
Thanks for the review! As a Colorado ZR2 owner, I'm curious if you can expand on the ride quality/off road comfort comparisons. I find the ZR2 suspension leaving much to be desired in comfort, probably due to the leaf spring rear. Thanks!
I started shopping for 4x4 Sprinter vans. Ya know, something to use for touring national parks and camping. I decided that the van market was still too old and outdated for me. I'm hoping this cooperation leads to a 300 mile EV adventure van, or cargo van that we can buy/convert.
