Just about decided to do a subscription through Volvo for an ICE XC40. I can get out of this without any strings in 5 months or keep it up to 24 months. I have no idea when to expect my LE R1S in Salt Lake, with a mid 2019 order but no service centers here in the near future.

Exactly. We have no idea how many vans they’ve made or what their timeline will be. All of the talk on the board about Rivian being required to make Amazon vans before rolling out the R1T/S is just speculation. Then again, we’re really good at that on this board.

I realize it’s only been a week or so, but what are your impressions? I’m also in the need for a car. Once my daughter goes back to college, we’ll be a 1 car family, and I’m not sure my R1S will be here anytime soon. The Mach E is getting great reviews!

Curious as to how fast you drive up Parley’s on the way home. That would seem like a tough stretch for an EV, from a mileage standpoint.

Yes but it’s called the mother-in-law seat selector. You just have to make sure she’s ready for an Adventure!

What a great trip! I saw lots of familiar sites at Yellowstone, Tetons, Crater Lake, and all my favorites in Utah. Open road, wife, dog—what more could you ask for?
