This is exactly why I have asked CS a couple of times why/if Rivian could offer the 20" wheel with an all-season tire instead of the AT. I don't want to forego the wheel upgrade that comes with LE, but I also don't want to immediately change the tires off the factory wheels.
I 100% agree with...
If range difference between the 20 and 21 was not so great I would go with the 20s because I also think they look best. I will be 99% on road and don't want to take the range hit of the 20s, especially since I plan on getting dedicated winter tires (20") for ice/snow anyway. My biggest concern...
If the spare comes with a TPMS sensor, it would need to be matched to the vehicle after mounting - and you may need a TPMS tool to that. It would not be automatic.
According to this article, Shell and BP are going to be building out EV charging pretty fast over the next few years and I suspect the rest of Big Oil is too...

Have you had the opportunity to determine range (w/mi) differences related to speed - i.e. 60mph vs 70 mph?
I'm planning a towing trip for June (420 miles pulling 4500 lbs) and charging stations on that route are not the best so I am looking for ways to extend range. This is all assuming my...
I concur!. One missed fender bender deductible saved because a dedicated ice/snow tire gave me just a bit of an advantage stopping or turning will pay for the cost of the winter tires. The cost of saving a family member or myself from injury is priceless...
Also, by having 2 sets of...
The city owned utility in the small town I live in has had an operational wind turbine in use since somewhere in the late 1970s. I've never heard of significant concerns about noise or bird kills. It is one piece of the plan to work towards 100% renewable energy here.
The cleanest/cheapest...
I too am an EV virgin and have been performing (and continue to!) similar mental gymnastics since placing a deposit on an R1T. Probably the most important thing I have learned from reading hundreds of threads on this forum (thanks everyone!) is that my 'fueling' paradigm needs a major shift for...
A fairer comparison of cost/mile would be for a 5000+ lb SUV or pickup - not an Outback. Cost per mile will be much closer...
If one does all their charging at a public (expensive) station cost per mile can be fairly high. Most people will be doing the bulk of their charging at home for rates...
I'm guessing there are many of us in the March/April group that have not yet been invited to First Mile. If the window holds it seems very likely that many may not get to a First Mile event prior to having to finalize our orders, and perhaps even taking delivery. I am personally ok with that...
It would be nice to have a sticky thread under Ordering, Pricing, Production, Delivery category with a list of Service Centers that are either open or under construction - or is there one that I have not found?
I've been waiting 1065 days (hard to believe!) through several delays, so my March/April window does not excite me nearly as much as the previous windows had. I no longer tell friends what my expected delivery window is, but rather just say: "I hope to get it this year".
Also, since I have not...
They are independent retailers, and like any business some are good and some are not. The 2 Chevrolet dealers I have been dealt with (25+ years, 7 vehicles) have always been fair and professional - both sales and service. My 2020 Corvette was purchased at MSRP, and my upcoming '22 Z06 will be also.

Sources: Rivian to build $5B electric truck plant
ATLANTA (AP) — Electric vehicle maker Rivian Automotive will announce Thursday that it’s building a $5 billion battery and assembly plant east of Atlanta that’s projected to employ 7,500 workers, sources briefed on the decision told The...
Stormy - I was surprised how close in size they appear. The R1T looked like it only a couple of inches longer and a bit higher, but who knows what height setting the truck was set at? It did not seem to be appreciably wider, but I did not look that closely at width. FYI, the Canyon is sitting...
