Cool thanks for the reply midnight and I’m glad to hear you’re happy with your purchase as I already know because you’re an avid supporter of Rivian on these boards. My only worry of course is their longevity I’m rooting for them in this macro environment it’s really hard but the product is...
Very cool sounds like you’re covered for just about anything! Thank you for the breakdown definitely feels worth it now charging from home. Need to do some research on the rates down here in Miami but it can’t be too far off. Cheers!
Is it really that much of a cost savings? Seems like with the price you’re paying which is substantially more than an ICE it levels out. But other than that initial cost you do notice it’s cheaper with maintenance and range?
I’m going from a BMW M4 to a R1S… I’ve had a bad experience in the past with Rivian delivery but I’m giving them a 3rd to make things right especially with their new XPEL Stealth promo. Since we are on the topic of first time EV buyers anyone else shift from a sports car to one of their vehicles...
Apparently they sold out of these quickly on the first day they sold 80. I should have one reserved. If you don’t get the wrap I wouldn’t sweat it.
Awesome thanks good to know. When I was buying outright it was only eligible for partial EV tax credit. And yeah I second they may make a more affordable version but I’m guessing that’s what the restructure is for in Q2 along with their supply chain improvements.
A lot of speculation here but if I had to guess Rivian will be marking down the prices of their vehicles with this new “refresh” coming. EV sales are slowing down and competition is revving up. Wouldn’t be shocked to see this in the slightest.
You’re eligible for the EV tax incentive as a lease? Huh is that really a thing? I’m contemplating the same thing also it’s not as near of a discount as buying but the car I want now is $1500 financed vs$899 a month with $6k down. Seems like a no brainer.
Yeah seems it’s all about the people who work there and their work ethic. I’ve noticed a lot of these urban cities seem to have it the worst. But then again I have the same issues with BMW and Mercedes their service is trash in Miami also.
I agree 100% with OP I had a horrible experience with mine and ultimately didn’t take delivery of the vehicle multiple times. It’s really steered a lot of customers away from the brand. There’s atleast 5 people I know who were considering buying a Rivian and I turned them off on the idea. Not to...
Honestly I had a bad experience with Rivian and delivery last year… they botched 2 of my deliveries with terrible QC issues. I’ve been trying to get my reservation money back along with charger and interest charges.
Having said that with the new pricing it has definitely intrigued me a little...
Heck I canceled my reservation 6 months ago and I’ve been emailing atleast one a week for my deposit back. They haven’t refunded that, my charger, nor my interest charges. One lady even said they never got the charger back. Luckily I had proof with the tracking number. They’re all over the place...
