I was trying to attach this video, but the file was too big. Then I realized I can just make a Google link to it.

These headlights really work overtime, and you can see just how much when driving in fog. They're like old-timey Hollywood Klieg lights! (Google it, youngsters.)
Umm, no. It's other Waze users who report police sightings. And there are thousands and thousands of us out there. Drivers are very proactive about reporting police. You might as well try it, it's free.
Again, I have it open on my phone (on a charger mount on the dash) while I'm on the...
I use Waze on my phone, on a magsafe charger mounted to the dash, on left side of steering wheel. It yells "Police reported ahead!" with total accuracy out on the highways.
If you look on the floor, just to the left of the brake, you'll see a small, aluminum cylinder. Stomp on it and your high beams will turn on.
Oh, wait. Nevermind. That was my 1977 Chevy pickup. :turkey:
I feel like an entitled brat complaining about this, after the HUGE improvement of having the navigation in the driver's display now.
But I have to admit that the first thing I thought of when driving around yesterday was, "This left side panel is a waste of screen real estate." Especially with...
Summer Lake Hot Springs, Oregon Outback. I ran out of juice 1,000 feet from this RV outlet and had to get towed. Story to come later, but I'll just say... I'm planning future road trips MUCH more carefully.
On my recent road trip, I hit fog after dark and WOW. You can really see how the adaptive headlights work in fog. They're like the old-timey Klieg lights at movie theaters. Constantly moving. Made me wonder if they're annoying to the people in front of me.
When I try to listen to an audiobook on Libby in my 2026 R1S, the audio breaks up and I have to use headphones instead.
I have reset/restarted my phone. I have reset the car. I have closed and reopened the app.
The audio will play fine for maybe a few seconds, then breaks up again. Anyone...
Bishop, California, from my Thanksgiving road trip through Oregon and California. I probably saw 1,000 Teslas on the trip, but fewer than 10 Rivians, and only ONE red one (except mine). I like it like that, and so does Buddy.
My dog and I are about to head out on a 2-week road trip from Portland, OR to SoCal for Thanksgiving in our new R1S. Would love to hear your stories, see your pics, of little (or big) hacks you recommend for the trip. We'll be staying at hotels, but napping along the way, too. Bring it!
One day you'll be driving in a hot sunny climate and your scalp will start to get hot and you'll remember you have that feature and be happy. I'm looking forward to using it on my upcoming road trip to SoCal through the Imperial Valley. Very hot.
Same, but I still use my phone on road trips for Waze (i.e., police). The mag safe mount I bought has nowhere to connect to in the dash. So I'm going back to a suction cup mount on the windshield. Boo.
