I have a 2026 Gen 2 R1S. Why is the iOS app so limited? None of the climate buttons work on the app (no heated steering wheel or seats or anything).
I can't do anything with the charging except see it's plugged in. And it doesn't know where my car is, even though it's on wi-fi and bluetooth...
You can? Where? How? Or are you just talking about zooming out on the map?
I do now recognize that the driver's display shows the current town, even while driving. Haven't tried while in navigation mode, but at least it shows where I am when I'm not.
Because when she's driving on a trip and a friend calls and says, "Where are you now?" it's handy to glance over and tell them, "I'm in Azalea, Oregon!"
I didn't realize how much I relied on this in my Tesla until I got a Rivian. Google Maps in Rivian does not tell you your current location, which would be very helpful, especially on road trips. Wondering how hard it would be to add this.
Check your hitch for a second set of cotter pin holes farther from the ball. I found that on my bike rack, which I thought was too close to the car. The other set of cotter pin holes gave the rack more space away from the bumper. Like the one in this photo.
Late to this party, but wondering if unlocking the bottom drawer in the center console (where the speaker used to be housed), would give you access to that space.
I saw somewhere in the car settings a place to unlock that drawer. Not hard to find.
Check out the Thule 4-bike rack.

I don't know where you live, but if you have a RackAttack (rackattack.com) near you, rack solutions are all they do.
If the rack above doesn't work, have you considered a roof rack?
