  1. Update 2022.27.02 Released - Automatic Ride Height, Direct Current Fast Charging & More

In 6 years of owning EVs I have never once figured out what range my percentage gives me.
  2. Update 2022.27.02 Released - Automatic Ride Height, Direct Current Fast Charging & More

The option, yes. We could debate all day about which we prefer but that's totally subjective.
  3. Update 2022.27.02 Released - Automatic Ride Height, Direct Current Fast Charging & More

Yes I'm a Tesla owner but I disagree with the idea it's a waste. It is far more comfortable IMO to just see percentage. With miles it is constant head math...oh I lost 3 miles since I was last in the car...why did a 40 mile journey use 50 miles of range etc. Percentage removes a bunch of...
  4. Update 2022.27.02 Released - Automatic Ride Height, Direct Current Fast Charging & More

I just got my truck yesterday and it's updating to 2022.27.2 this morning. Still no option to change from miles to percentage battery remaining?
  5. Explore Package R1T and R1S No Longer Available

Very much so. CarGurus was at 38K ish and Rivian offered 40.5K. I'd have taken 6 or 7 less than that for the hassle factor. The R1T is netting out at around 54K. For a truck worth 95K.
  6. Explore Package R1T and R1S No Longer Available

The VIN I got is 9312. Only 62 more than the 2018 Model 3 I'm trading in for it.
  7. Explore Package R1T and R1S No Longer Available

I went into the shop to see what FE models were available. They say they can deliver the one I chose on Saturday.
  8. Email: Ocean Coast Design Update – Dark Ash Wood or Wrapped Vegan Leather

21 Road. I'll likely change after market anyway. I usually do.
  9. Email: Ocean Coast Design Update – Dark Ash Wood or Wrapped Vegan Leather

I just went into the shop and took a Limestone/FE model that was in there.
  10. Email: Ocean Coast Design Update – Dark Ash Wood or Wrapped Vegan Leather

I agree. Now that the light wood option appears to be dead I may switch to FE completely. In fact I'm 99% sure I will just to avoid the black wood.
  11. Email: Ocean Coast Design Update – Dark Ash Wood or Wrapped Vegan Leather

I do not like the idea of a leather wrapped dash. The light ash wood was a beautiful look. That config appears to be dead.
  12. Ocean Coast - Waiting or switching?

Me...there is no comparison. It's interesting reading posts from those who changed. It's a psychological experiment watching people ignore the reason they picked OC in the first place and then switched to drastically different finishes just to get the truck a bit earlier. Many even try to self...
  13. "Interested in getting an R1T in a 6-8 weeks or sooner?"

I got this yesterday. Second time I've been asked to have a look in the R1 Slop for a model I don't want. I will say this time round there were far more and far more varied combinations available. Compass Yellow with Forest interior looks pretty nice I must say. Nothing will convince me that OC...
  14. The Worst Thing Rivian Lifted from Tesla

This. Expecting companies to change their entire set up and industry due to a handful of subjective experiences. I have had 3 Teslas including a Model 3 that I had never even sat it prior to taking delivery. For some people there are likely several things 'wrong' with it. Loose plastic here and...
  15. End of my dream

I hear you - the fact remains that person 1 and person 2's reaction to an 'early adopter' glitch is purely subjective. The hood problem in your driveway when you have nowhere to go is of course a million times less aggravating that with a low charge, in the desert with a full car and a MIL who...
  16. R1S vs. Fisker Ocean One

I have one of those Ocean One invites also. I can't fire off a 5K non refundable deposit for a company with a bankruptcy record like Fisker. I hope they do well - as a I do all EV makers - but I have less hope for Fisker at the moment than Rivian.
  17. End of my dream

Early adopters MUST expect trouble. Pretty sure it's in the fine print somewhere. If you have a sub 100Kish VIN - expect trouble. I have the 9,250th Model 3 ever made - expected all the usual crap, panel gaps, glitchy software, bad finishes - some I experienced, some I didn't. The Model 3 was...
  18. Latest VIN check R1T. What is the real production rate...

What's with all the "X"s on the VINs? Privacy?! It's visible in every windshield in America!
  19. September - October 2022 (New 6/11 delivery estimate)

I'm in the 2 month window club with Oct/Nov. Have had OC on there since day one and ain't changing it.
