I can sympathise with the OP as an early Tesla adopter...we were plagued by problem with the early units. In reality, the heightened emotion when you have people and pets staring at your while things go wrong is adding a bit to the hyperbole.
A glitchy latch and some broken chargers is no...
Still sticking with OC on my configuration and the window went from Jul-Sept to Oct/Nov. Which I guess is fall, as they said for OC and a bit tighter of a window in that it is 2 months.
This is a point people have been trying to smack me with. In that I haven't gone in and altered my configuration from OC to BM. Therefore I'm the idiot and no wonder I haven't heard from Rivian. I didn't change anything because Rivian told us in the April emails they would reach out to us. Now...
The very fact we are on forums debating this shows you what a turd of an email that was. I'm not declaring that R1S deliveries are all moved to 2023 (although that is what I strongly believe the email is saying)....my point is that there is no reason the email leaves room for that debate.
They...
Even now, after all the PR debacles, they still can't get an email communication right. And this from the supposedly much better Tony Caravano.
Just say, clearly... "R1S preorders will not be delivered until 2023 - at the earliest".
I ordered a Bronco Badlands last summer, kind of on a whim in case Rivian shat the bed on the timing they had given for my R1T.
Well, the bed has been burned since then and I have my Bronco to play around in.
Go ahead and get another car, whatever it might be. What's the worst case scenario...
It's June give or take - it makes no sense to me to change to a (IMO) lesser interior when they say OC will come out in the fall (albeit what they say is generally worthless). I've waited over 3.5 years...what's another 3 months.
It's the chaos as you say, the utter and intentinal lack of...
Yes, though if you're suggesting I should go into the account and change to BM or FE that is not what Rivian advised in the OC delay emails.
They specifically said they would reach out to us to see what the interest would be in changing.
If they are ignoring those who haven't actually changed...
I think you mean I'm being stubborn by not having changed from OC? So I guess your comprhension is worse than I feared.
I have been in touch with CEC as recently has an hour ago, bringing up the point that I have not heard from anyone to discuss changing.
The CS reps that I have reached are...
Excuse me but...what?
Their second email regarding the OC delay literally clarifies as follows:
Monday’s email mentions that you’ll be reaching out to see if I’m “flexible” on my configuration.
Rivian specifically stated they would be reaching out to those that have OC configured to see if...
The record I've seen is someone reserving 3 years and 2 months after I did getting contacted for a truck. I've never witnessed a company ? on their earliest supporters more than these clowns.
Wow. This is an Adventure I guess based on the date of order - you reserved a full 33 months after me and I have heard nothing. These guys are f&&ked up.
