Had same happen with a small chip cracking overnight. Had the same issue with Geico. They reimbursed me promptly. I then proceeded to pickup a windshield repair kit from Amazon and its been great at warding off any further chips lol

Initially had it tinted 70% (essentially clear) ceramic tint. It helped quite a bit with the heat in our Florida sun.. then (un)fortunately had to replace my windshield due to a rock. Second time around, the tint shop recommended 45%.. it's subtle, reduces glare at night, and has REALLY helped...

Florida owner here.. Tinted front windshield 45% (was 70% until rock took out windshield). LOVING the change.. Temps way better, glare improved, minimal impact on visibility at night time. Have darkest legal tint on front. Rear unchanged from factory... And roof has a generic cover like...
