I had a generic "Outdoor RV NEMA 14-50 outlet" which proceeded to overheat and melt one of the terminals after a year of constant use. Proper wiring, no plugging-unplugging EVSE, etc.
Can only point to the non-commercial (Hubbard etc..) style 14-50 plug being the source of...
I had my windshield tinted with a ceramic film.. made a significant subjective difference with heat in our Florida weather.
Then I picked up a large rock chip which turned into a crack and I needed to have the windshield replaced.

Also a central Florida guy here... I had my previous charger outside. Planted some nice taller hedges in front to give shade and provide some shielding. Leave enough room for air to circulate of course.
