Wow. I knew they raised it but I was thinking like $1200, similar to the full size spare. That's crazy. I'd definitely take this one for $1000 vs Rivian for $1800.
This looks nice. If I didn't just get my shipping notification today for my stock Rivian manual cover I might consider this. Curious that the price ($1000) is more than the Rivian cover ($800 at least at my early pricing, can't find current).
Yup I used it about a few days ago. Parking a little more tight than other locations but no problems. 10 min walk over the freeway to Amy's Drive Thru for a pretty good vegan burger while waiting for a full charge from 2 to 100%.
After getting conflicting info reaching out multiple times to my guide and to service and still not getting my wristband key even though my trunk was in service for 2 weeks at one point, over 4 months after picking up my truck now I finally got an appointment at South SF service center to pick...
I think you are correct, as far as how it's calculated. But most people are going to want to know the actual cost vs gas as well. Charging at home, this will typically match up roughly relative to the MPG -E number - of course with variance for local electricity rate.
If the actual cost to "put...
Yeah, 2.2 is decent. I get about 1.9 mi/kwh average. I plan on swapping my AT tires to AS tires when I'm done with these which are going fast (9000 miles in my first 4 months, tread is well over halfway gone), so hoping that will get me more up to 2.2 or 2.3.
Agree 29 mpg equivalent is still...
Yeah I mean I am glad it's not even worse than $0.36.
I'm just in an unfortunate situation now since I live off grid and I'm dependent on charging in town. That used to be the free Rivian charger I'm lucky to have where I live, but it's now like I went from free to... ~22 mpg. Or scrambling to...
"20 mpg" lol
These vehicles are sold as getting around 70 mpg equivalent.
They should have at least given us a Rivian owner membership subscription deal, for a couple bucks a month and like $0.18/kWh or something so we could add least get close to something like 40mpg-e.
Maybe open them up...
I did one more test since my last post, and this time I ended up with 1% better efficiency with the aeros on. Could just be noise from slight variations. So the overall average of my tests is right around zero. I am curious if they will help slightly more with different (AS) tires, so I decided...
Yeah today was incredibly brutal. Bought more and I'm under $17 average for now but I'm tapped out and going to need some $ later this month. With my luck I'll sell last minute and it'll skyrocket right after. (This already happened end of June when I sold most in getting together my down...
Yeah there were a few things like this that took me a few days to get used to (one pedal driving and high brake regen, coming from driving stick shifts all my life) - though not this specifically, as it is the correct way same as every car going back decades to my dad's 70's Caprice Classic...
I visit Portland regularly and already have been there several times since getting my truck. One time I was about to fall asleep in the back seat, in a quiet, dark, seemingly fairly safe residential area in SE. I happened to see a guy come up to the car parked in front of me with a backpack and...
Bought more at $16.75. Only positive news as usual, besides Lucid but that was obvious. You'd think ww3 was happening the way the stock is crashing for no reason. Got my average under 17 now and plan on holding a while from here.
-10% swing today from after the open till now.
This is insane. We were finally up a little after earnings yesterday and this morning premarket, and now it's DOWN -4% on the day, and about a -12% drop in just the last 2 hours.
Meanwhile trash company freaking Vinfast is up 10% today as I write this.
Already bought more at low 17. Just an...

After reading another thread about this kind of thing I added this little plastic hitch step and put a reflector strip on it. May help a little. Total cost was like $30 from Harbor Freight. And the step is functional.
