Rivian uses the 2170 battery, which have the new chemistry almost identical to Tesla. ( lookup research on samsung 5000mAh) Rivian is a new company, and they are been very conservative, (very understandable) you will see in the future, new guidelines to 90%.
The bottom line is that, Rivian can’t charge any faster than 11.5 kW. ( Max vehicle onboard charger) @ home doesn't matter if you use a 48amp charger or 80amp charger. so why put a 70amp or 100amp breaker, when all you need is a 60amp breaker.
if a home charger says you need a 70amp breaker...
At home, max 60A Breaker. Rivian can’t charge any faster than 48amp via AC.
On the road, they are DC fast chargers. So that would be at~250amp or less.
I have Charge HQ app for my Tesla, ( it allowed you to charge only using solar panels) it doesn’t support other vehicles. Is there a similar app for rivian?

So I talked to tech/service, and they are telling me it should work, according to their screen I’m supposed to have a selection for “ Gate” separate from the “ garage” icon. they are working on it and will get back to me. That might be an update, maybe ?
Just received this:
I appreciate that you took the time to reach out, and I’m happy to assist you here!
At this time I am not able to verify with 100% certainty if those gate openers work with our vehicles yet, or if they will in the future. I will note here that you would like for Ghost...
As more delivery happens, more will complain, don’t take no for an answer.
they need us more than we need them.

Since they do support that frequency, definitely not hardware, it’s a software ware. I also had a Tesla that had I was able to program, and was able to make it work.
