Very cool!
Just curious, is that normal for half of the field of view of the front camera to be of the car itself (or do you have something mounted up there)?
I don't understand your pushback on this. The discussion is about a Rivian that HAD a NACS adapter wanting to use a Supercharger. The idea that a Tesla could just as easily use an Electrify America DC fast charger as a Rivian is false. Even if that Tesla was compatible with CCS networks, most...
I don't put all who criticize Musk in the hater camp, hell, I've even criticized him!
Why do you just make up stuff about me and state it as it's true? A person would have to be blind to not see there are some very vocal people here who hate Musk and Tesla. Some people go so far beyond...
True. But in the context of wondering why the later arriving Tesla couldn't just go to a CCS charger, it matters whether they have an adapter in the car. And three of four of my family's Tesla cannot charge at CCS chargers, even if we had adapters.
I'm just trying to be real here.
That's false. Most Tesla's cannot charge at CCS chargers, many are not enabled, and even though all newer Tesla are enabled, most Tesla don't have the required adapter (mostly because it wouldn't get used). My family currently has four Tesla and none of them can charge at a CCS charger.
Again, it's too soon to say. Like I said, both Tesla and Rivian could be down this year, depending upon how consumer sentiment plays out. The point was a comparison of Rivian's growth to Tesla's growth. Because the claim was Elon was screwing up.
If they are both negative, so be it. We can...
Again, the problem is not charging exclusively at Superchargers, that is your right. I took issue with your stated reason for doing so, to piss off other EV motorists. I find that very distasteful.
All the signage in the world can't fix people like Mr. Muscleshirt from voicing his hateful...
To be clear, it's perfectly acceptable for the tire pressure to rise above the manufactures maximum pressure rating as the tire heats up. That's normal and expected if you set that at or near the maximum cold psi when they are cold. They are designed to handle that without any issue.

Tire sealant is not a good solution, I'm not sure why so many manufacturers include it instead of a tire repair kit with gummy worms. I would carry a spare before I would rely on a can of tire sealant!
Nope. I have zero problem with you charging at Superchargers, I never indicated otherwise.
What I found distasteful was your verbalized desire to start charging at Superchargers exclusively, simply to piss off other EV owners by taking up two spots. That is in very poor taste.
I disagree. Old maxims (like always carry a spare) should not be propagated beyond their usefulness, just because that's the way it's always been done.
What I've found off-roading my EV is that there is less need to air down as much to get the same amount of capability, due the more effective...
That's why I asked you to compare each successive year. There will always be temporal disruptions and slowdowns. It's possible both Rivian and Tesla produce fewer cars in 2024 than 2023 depending upon consumer sentiment. The growth comparison was meant to be relative to each other, this is how...
The gummy worm type of plug work far better and are more versatile for more types of tire damage than the rubber mushrooms. I don't even know why they still make the rubber mushroom style of plug.
That's great, it looks like this shakeup of the Supercharger team is helping spread the talent around! I've been hoping other companies would start contributing more to the fast DC charging infrastructure, hopefully GM, Ford and Rivian can pick up on some of the talent too!
I don't know why...
