Wow. That's a lot for a simple charging connector! Crazy unless money grows on trees. I would hate to spend that much only to find out the chosen equipment was not reliable over time. You want proven, high-grade equipment that won't require fiddling with and doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
Kudos!
I don't know how anyone puts up with EA. What is wrong with them? How can a private company be so inept at what they do? I gave up on them years ago. I generally run down to 5%-15% SOC for the fastest charging and need to know it's going to work when I arrive.
Supporting EA is the same...
Correct. I was simply correcting false information that was posted.
Because people interested in charging Powerwalls from a vehicle should know that it's possible, depending upon the vehicle.
Oh God! Who really cares if someone pees on the ground? Dogs do it too. It's a natural function and pee is acidic, it's sterile. Probably more environmental than flushing three gallons of water down a toilet just because someone had to take a leak.
The things people think are gross these days...
Spraying it with Lysol isn't going to do anything because the mold is under the carpet where the Lysol can't reach. You probably need to remove all the carpeting, disinfect, and replace the carpeting (either with new carpeting or after steam sterilizing the original carpet).
To correct some misinformation in the Jalopnik article, Tesla didn't raise the prices, they delayed the availability of non-Foundation editions. The price is exactly the same as it was when production started last year. And unlike the completely irrational claim that demand is down, the reason...
It's especially important to have a good charging network when towing a trailer, because you are charging twice as often. The Supercharger Network is spaced close together, on most routes I travel I can skip two out of three of the stations. This close spacing provides more options for those...
Work or play is not a big differentiator. Body panels don't discriminate between work and play, they dent when you have exceeded the force required to dent them. The only solution is tougher body panels that resist damage. Or having a body shop on retainer. ?
What's next?
Why not simulate the out-of-balance nature of an engine with a lightened crankshaft? They need to put cam lobe weights on the output shafts so drivers can experience that great vibration EVs are missing!
While they are at it, they should probably pipe a little bit of carbon...
A tank is not really of any benefit for airing tires up. The tires act as the tank. The best way to get short air up times is to fill all tires simultaneously. That's because the Shrader tire valve was designed over a century ago when tires had very low volumes, the valve simply can't pass...
Telluride has 8 250 kW Superchargers right in the village!
The forward visibility isn't the problem a few people have reported. My guess is they are not accustomed to driving off-road. I've never been in a truck that didn't have poor forward visibility when on steep terrain off-road. But the...
Honestly, if the utility estimated usage based on past history, then why would the consumption be surprising? Estimations, by their very nature, are designed to fall within the expected.
Get the leak fixed right away. My F-150 had a tiny leak that no Ford dealer said they could track down. The cab smelled musty and old from age one year. Very sad.
Humans can drive with only two eyes, no radar, no lidar and no high-precision mapping. Why do you think AI won't be superior with more "eyes" and no lapses in attention?
Scratch that, there are humans who have over a million accident and injury free miles with only one eye, and no other...
The off-road damage reported is probably from people airing them down to stupid low pressures, like 15 psi. Tires with high speed ratings are not designed to be run at really low pressures, it damages the reinforcements embedded in the rubber. Once that happens, they cannot be fixed. It can make...
