  1. Turn signals on a Canadian Rivian

Many vehicles have animated signals extending onto moving body parts, as long as the fixed portion meets minimum specs by itself. Some Audi SUVs, IIRC, have animated lights that light up both on the fixed portion and the tailgate, then "sweep off outward".
  2. R2 Deliveries to Begin by June (WGLT report)

"Give a man a fish, and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish, and he will eat for the rest of his life." "Light a man a fire, and he will be warm for a night. Light a man on fire, and he will be warm for the rest of his life."

  4. 3W Floor Mats Giveaway | What have you done for your Rivian this month?

None of the above. I did take the "dog hammock" out of the back seat to clean it off. That's it.
  5. Tesla kills Autopilot on new cars - Forces users to subscribe to FSD

They're also killing off prepaid FSD. Starting next month, the only way to get any driver assistance features will be to pay $100/month. (And there are rumors they'll raise that price, too!)
  6. J1772 extensions for home charging safe?

I've been closing my garage door on my (hardwired wall-mounted, 25 ft) cables for years. My garage door does have a pretty thick and flexible bottom bumper/insulation strip, though. I wouldn't do it with a garage door that the metal door gets close to the ground.
  7. Turn signals on a Canadian Rivian

In Germany, car are required to have amber turn signals. I had an Audi that was made in Germany. Amber turn signals are of course legal in the US, just not required. Audi made US-market vehicles - even those built in Germany - with red turn signals. This pisses me off. Sure, old cars that...
  8. How do you keep your feet dry getting in and out this winter?

It's a truck. I don't bother, other than Rivian all-weather floor mats. They get taken out and washed maybe once a year.
  9. New update?

Better than Amazon. Only because with Google, I can use my "Google Workspace" account, which gives me complete control over how Google uses my data, unlike a standard Gmail account.
  10. New update?

I have now used this gif three times to describe my actions/choices since you posted it.
  11. Tesla self-driving is so much safer, you get an insurance discount for using it

Meanwhile, a route I take at least once a week, FSD tries to change *OUT* of the exit lane I need to be in after the line has become solid on a well-traveled major freeway intersection. And going to my local (frequently full) Supercharger, where there is a right-turn lane, it tries to take the...
  12. I bricked my R1S in the Oregon Outback - Learn from my mistake!

On a serious note - I'm glad it worked out, and also glad you discovered the wonderful generosity of Central/Eastern Oregonians (other than obnoxious landlords. I've never had a small independent motel/lodge/whatever tell me I couldn't use a 120V outlet in an emergency to charge.)
  13. Tesla self-driving is so much safer, you get an insurance discount for using it

Please provide a link to where you provided evidence that an automaker is shipping true self driving. You posted one photo of one person's Tesla saying that it has driven ~5000 miles on FSD, that being 100% of their miles driven since updating to FSD 14.2. That is not the same as "evidence...
  14. Bad Drive Unit, 9th time for service. This makes EV's look bad.

They should. There are multiple Rivians with over 100,000 miles with no major powertrain problems. You happen to have a unit that has a problem. This happens with ICE vehicles, too. It's the reason "lemon laws" exist. In 33 years of vehicle ownership, 14 total vehicles, I have had two ICE...
  15. Blaupunkt e-bike: The folding e-bike Holy Grail - fits under the R1T V2 Tonneau

If the bike fits in the bed with the tonneau closed, why bother with the aero hit and environmental exposure of having it hanging out? Plus, small-frame folding bike probably doesn't fit the tailgate pad well.
  16. I bricked my R1S in the Oregon Outback - Learn from my mistake!

The most important part of the write-up.
  17. New update?

This time, instead of adding CarPlay to Rivians, each Rivian that receives this update will cause CarPlay to be *removed* from one other car.
  18. ALSO TM-B

It's right there in your screenshot - "the very first ALSO bikes to ship this spring." It ain't spring yet.
  19. Tesla self-driving is so much safer, you get an insurance discount for using it

Yep. Most of the "monitor your driving to give you a discount" services penalize you for driving at night. I had Progressive, and they have three 'scores' - "Phone use", "Hard braking", and "speeding." I scored 100 in all three. And yet my 'overall score' was 69. of course, the big discount...
