Smack Talk
SILVERADO: I can't believe I got parked here next to you. I hope none of my friends see me.
CYBERTRUCK: Because you'll look so banal next to the most desirable truck on earth...
I bought a set of Nokian Hakkapeliitta R3 tires through Amazon for my Silverado. Had them shipped to a local independent tire shop. Ran them for 3-1/2 winters before selling the truck to my wife’s cousin. AFAIK they are still on it.
I would lean on Rivian for options to get the battery replaced much sooner.
If you are willing to embrace the Rivian adventure spirit with a DIY attempt, I would be really curious to find out if this would work as a replacement:

I 'borrowed' that picture from a prior thread. In that thread, and several other places online, the battery part number is identified as DCS12-18UNC RIT. A datasheet with full details is available on the C&D website.
I have had two other vehicles with “connected services”. One GM OnStar and the other Audi Connect. In both cases I didn’t think the benefits were valuable enough to justify the cost.
With Rivian Connect+ I had no qualms about subscribing. It’s a great set of services.
Bonus, I got 19 months...

Given the current responses I would say I am 25% paranoid. :fingerscrossed:
And, my paranoia will likely grow given that the % of people reporting failures is growing.
I also had not noticed the 3/36 warranty limits until it was mentioned here. Now I'm thinking that I will pre-emptively order a pair of Ohmmu batteries in a few months when I hit 36k. I see they are currently out of stock on the Ohmmu site. Hopefully they get a new shipment by the time I am...
I have had the premium music family plan subscription for several years before taking delivery of my R1T. I needed something to satisfy four users and multiple devices. I compared family plans for Amazon, Apple, and Spotify. As I recall, Amazon was a bit cheaper. And, of course, it is the most...
My speculation is for a production date correlation. Seems plausible that there was a bad batch from the battery supplier.
As @ndmiller noted, lead acid battery failures aren’t unique to Rivian. I know that I have had several parts-store batteries in other vehicles that failed prematurely. It...
