Hi @echo44. Great questions and you have every right to be concerned about percieved reliability issues. However, please remember that only folks with issues are often motivated to post about those issues. The rest are out having fun. Also, Rivian only started delivering cars less than 4 years...
Internet: Rivian needs to cut cost (staff, streamline production process, etc) in order to survive.
Rivian: We will be reducing staff numbers by 10%, shutting down our plant during q2 to streamline production and save 30% per vehicle.
Internet: Rivian is doomed!! How are they going to survive by...
Careful now, a fanboi will use this as evidence of an underwater test of the CT. "The CT can actually withstand a lot of water pressure. Elon just said 2'7" just to be modest and for regulatory reasons. The CT was actually tested under water."
Ok, I'm going to bite. Nobody is denying that the kook is wealthy (if that's how you define success). Heck, he is probably worth more than all of us on the forum, combined. Does that mean he is not eccentric? Being wealthy and being a kook are not mutually exclusive (matter of fact, they seem to...
I believe only you can determine if it's what it or not. I also believe only you can accurately access your finances. As you probably already know, a car is a liability, one that you can also enjoy. Life's a risk, you get to determine your tolerance to that risk. Ultimately, determine to enjoy...
@Zeusy Zeus Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I too had a similar misalignment of the black trim piece on top of my S at delivery (in addition to very slight, unnoticeable misalignment between the liftgate and tailgate). I pointed it out to my delivery guy and he assured me that everything would...
Here comes the doom and gloom articles by "journalists" (read vouyers) who spend an inordinate amount of time on EV forums: "Rivian owners report overheating motors!"
Just to confirm, I ordered last week (immediately after I saw your post) and have just received the "front shade". The r1s rear will be shipped next month, right? I ordered both.
Yes it was.
From.my little show-and-tell, the car has only gotten rave comments.
I know your use case and needs might be different, but it's hard to gi wrong with the R1S. Even with Post-price hike, I believe it's a great value and bo issues or complaints from me so far (I am just one...
Here, here! Picked mine up a little over 2 weeks ago, fit and finish looks ?. No serious issues besides a very slighty (hardly noticeable) gap between tailgate and liftgate on the driver's side.
Ordered post-price hike in April (18th at 11:25am to be precise) of 2022. Initially Ordered a dual motor LA Silver, but after the specs were released, I went with the quad (quad motor was only an extra $1k more than the enhanced dual motor which I wanted).
Was granted Shop access about 2 weeks...
Ok, you got me, Acoustic. I am just one of many Zeus impersonators, so I have nothing to do with the wind nor do I know where your Tilley hat is.
I'll have to agree with your family about your look in the golf cap. I actually think it's quite apt ?.
I hate to disagree with you, but I suspect that the electromagnetic forces still apply to the CT seats and will probably prevent you from falling through the car. But then again, the 'real life iron man' might claim that he has unified all four forces, thereby making the CT seats a teleportation...
@Baymax you might also want to consider your electrical panel to confirm you have enough space or if you'll need an upgrade to accommodate a 60 amp circuit.
