  1. R1S second row seats are laughably hard to manipulate

Think about it this way: as an adventure vehicle, RJ and the team wanted to ensure that our arms are up to the task of adventuring. Seriously, I can imagine how difficult it is. I'll use my waiting time to ensure my arms are ready.
  2. I’m Selling My Rivian R1T - In-Depth Owner Review After 24k Miles In 9 Months

This right here?... absolutely, ? this ?. @RexRemus should never have to pay for their beer ever again!! I'll ensure that if you are ever in the Nashville area.
  3. I need community help on color choice?Update: El Cap for the win

If I were in your shoes (and I was not too long ago), here's what I'll do: 1. Ask the wife what color she prefers. 2. Wait 2 days and ask her again what color she prefers. 3. Decide if you'll be happier driving the rivian most of the time or if she's the primary driver (careful here, I'm really...
  4. [Vote in poll] Turned off LKA (lane keep assist) today, and you should too!

You have definitely driven into the sun? Dude, what do you drive or fly, and how did you make it out alive so many times? ? :D :CWL:
  5. All electric household?

Wow... 14 years and no regrets while traveling the country. Consider me encouraged.
  6. All electric household?

Awesome things to think about. While I enjoy the sounds and screams of an ICE occasionally, it's not enough motivation for me currently. The emergency part does still gives me a reason to want to keep my ICE car for a while though (even though I may not drive it for day). This is more difficult...

Thanks for sharing your thoughts ?

  9. All electric household?

Great thoughts. Thanks for the input and for making my decision that much difficult :D
  10. All electric household?

Excellent thoughts. We plan on getting a battery backup in a year or two (my neighborhood is kinda new so not much older trees yet but I am a bit concerned due to the power outtage debacle about a month ago). I'll definitely be waving at you when I get mine (if you see anyone waving frantically...
  11. All electric household?

Thanks for the suggestion. Our panel is maxed out right now. I guess we'll have to see how things go when the R1S arrives. Since I only drive about 30 miles round-trip daily, I may be able to get away with charging the R1S during the weekends or getting a splitter of some sort.
  12. All electric household?

Thanks for the suggestion. We already have an Autel maxicharger (40 amps) installed and plugged into a 50 amp outlet. We are thinking of getting a Neocharge Smart Splitter to split the juice between my wife's id4 and the R1S (when it arrives) using Rivian's supplied evse. If this doesn't work...
  13. All electric household?

It really did help. Thanks for sharing your experience (and for the laughter)
  14. All electric household?

Thanks for this. I get tempted every now and then by some ice cars, but I am really determined to go full EV
  15. All electric household?

Totally agree about not stopping at gas stations. I am really looking forward to that one!
  16. All electric household?

:D. You are absolutely right about power outtage being an issue for all means of transportation (not just EVs).
  17. All electric household?

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Definitely something to think about. I am pretty flexible and like to consider myself as being patient, but it's hard to tell how you'll react if stranded, or if the chargers are down, or even if there's a queue (with kids in tow). Definitely things to consider...
  18. All electric household?

Thanks for the very thoughtful and thorough response (no rambling detected). We do occasionally (every other year) take 1600 mile roadtrip (we plan long breaks/stops to see places and visit with friends). Also, I need to check our patience-meter again. Last I checked, we should be fine, but you...
