I think the change in depreciation numbers are the result of Rivian being further removed from the early deposit pricing and having more vehicles sold under their now inflated mostly six figure prices.
A lot of the data is based on the lower msrp of the gen 1, and now having a higher average...
Wow! Not a single response. Too many Rivian cultist with rose colored lenses. Well, I’m responding because I find the observation insightful. And no, you are not a hater, troll or short seller for pointing this info out.
It will be interesting to see how Q2 sales go as consumer confidence has...
Tariffs are a reason for you to buy now as they have the potential to raise car prices. Rivian’s 1.99% promotional interest rate just ended. Did your model not qualify? If not, check out Navy Federal Credit Union. They have rates as low as 4.49% at the moment but there are some specific...
Wow! Another investor thread that went off the rails and had to have comments deleted. I’m not surprised.
To be clear, nothing is wrong with disagreeing with someone’s “opinion” or stance on Rivian. I welcome replies countering whatever I say, if the response includes reasoning, alternate...
Great details and use cases, thanks for providing. Just know that the “most of us” not giving a shit about dinosaur cars only pertains to this small bubble on a Rivian forum. The larger population is still open to sucking Dino juice when they go car shopping.
There are plenty of ICE SUVs that are not considered “affordable” but sell in higher volumes than R1S. Just look at some of the annual sales numbers for Lexus GX, Tahoe/Yukon and Escalades. Market share will always be “niche” if electric car manufacturers do not position their products to be...
LOL of course you don’t care. I’m not trying to sell you a truck. This is the investor forum. A lot of potential Rivian customers do care, and will buy one of those alternatives.
Well, a TRD Pro hybrid I-Force Max Tacoma starts at $63k. $70k also gets you into a much larger Silverado ICE with some options. In fact, I think the Silverado EV LT is like low $70k before the tax credit, with 400 mile range.
Less options that inflate the price. Any paint color other than silver is $1,750 - $3k. Only one paint option below $2k. That’s pretty high even by luxury SUV standards. The sound is not great but it’s an option to make it slightly better for $1,750. If you want the large pack that little better...
I never said RJ was a bad businessman. You must have me confused with someone else.
I agree, it’s much better to lower production than to sit on expensive inventory and struggle to move it at steep discounts.
