It's very easy. Just attach the adapter to the charger and plug in. No app is needed to start. Just make sure a card is attached in your Rivian app. You just need the Tesla app if you want the membership for cheaper prices.

The restrictions was for if you took delivery and sell the truck itself. I sold the Tesla account that had truck reservation on there. And I just changed the email and name to the other person.

The reservations for the Cybertruck are still selling on eBay, but at a lower price of $200–$400 for a July–September delivery. Good thing I sold mine earlier in the year.

I had the same feeling. I was excited when it was announced it would be $39k, but then found out it would be over $80-$120k. So I sold my reservation to another tesla owner and applied that to my R1T.
