Hopefully, that will be resolved in the future. I'd rather share the Tesla chargers to encourage EV adoption and deal with the increased traffic, than have them be exclusive.
Just an FYI, Tesla now offers a wall connector with NACS (J3400), J1772, and PowerShare.
I've found in my infrequent trips from western NYS to Maine, that new Superchargers in New England are V3 and the TOCNYS notes that Multi Docks are going in around the NYC/LI area.
I did some reading...
Sadly, there are idiots who drive everything from a stolen Kia to a Ferrari. They give good drivers a bad name. When they drive new, unique vehicles they give those vehicles a bad name as well.
I'm not understanding the issue. I have no problem going from Rochester, NY to Baltimore in my Tesla, although your routing may be different. Plenty of Tesla chargers on the I390/US15 corridor now.
Sounds like some of the problems with Tesla Service in the early days. It will likely improve over time. Be patient, but report the problems so they don't get ignored.
Very nice! Should eat up the VW ID.4, Tiguan, and other small SUV market.. I'd have to change the mirrors to body color or gloss block and the tow hooks to matte black.
The variable suspension parts probably burned dropping it to the current level. The fire doesn't look hot enough to "pop" the tires, but they're probably burned to the cords making them useless. (Opinion of experienced fire captain.)
Great news! As a Tesla owner, I appreciate the problems other owners have charging at Superchargers and try to educate Tesla owners to treat non-Tesla owners with courtesy.
As a Tesla owner and an officer of the Tesla Owners Club of New York State, I apologize for the dimwit in the Model S. Apparently the word is not getting out to Tesla owners. I will try to spread the word and hope that our members treat you as the first owners did.
This is a great idea. You're right. Typical lights are in the frunk (or trunk), then get covered up by the load. This reminds me of the underhood lights on ICE cars. (Do they still do those anymore?)
I tend to agree with you. Take the loss until the LFP is available. Not an unusual tactic to get the product out while cost saving elements are cut in to production.
Now the question is, when will someone crack the code to upgrade the battery while they still can? Then, of course, sell the...
I don't know if anyone has done this yet, but I'm thinking about going around to different EV dealers and getting pix and dimensions for charge ports, so I can put together a reference for Supercharger (and other?) charging etiquette. I don't know if anyone has done this yet. Drive Electric...
There got to be a good successor. We're past the startup phase and need to move on to continuing operations with expansion of models for the future. Small CUV/SUV; expand Semi line to various size straight chassis; mid-size van/wagon for commercial/recreational uses; M3/Y (MX?) specialty...
