Well said, for a bunch of people that paid a bunch of money as early adopters and most of us profess our love for the vehicles - we sure whine a lot. To me it looks like Rivian is working pretty hard at evolving and making things better.
There is definitely a theme here. My steering wheel is also off center with a slight pull to the right. I have 5 fairly minor items one month after delivery and just opened a service request in Orlando.
I live in SW Florida and it is HOT! Since the update when my AC turns on it is MUCH louder than before the update for several minutes. For example when I pre-cool in the garage it sounds like a turbine is spinning up ... crazy loud! It does taper down after 4 or 5 minutes to a more reasonable...
Most work off of steam pressure or temperature, which means there is a fairly constant demand on power. Without the proper temperature you won't get appropriate extraction so it is not timer based.
I can work with the 1% drain per day, I don’t like it but it is workable. What bothers me is, why does it have to be like this. Our Taycan had virtually zero drain. We left it for the month of January and the battery stayed exactoy as we left it - so it is possible to do better, Rivian
The heating element will be the issue. A smaller machine should be fine, but I know that my Simonelli Appia draws 1500 watts so the grinder would trip the breaker. A prosumer machine should work fine - very cool idea, please send pics whe you’re setup.
Another update - I put my truck through a car wash yesterday (don't judge me :) )
I had only one small leak under the corner of the tonneau. I inspected and realized that the rail was mounted a bit higher in that corner (my installation error). I corrected it and the turned the hose on it with...
This looks excellent, well done. Question for all - I did a quick test and it felt like the AC vents to the backseat area are blocked with the seat up - does anyone know if that is correct, or perhaps I had the rear vents turned off?
I don't think you're wrong. I'm in a heat wave in southwest Florida and mine sounds like a small turbine engine spinning up .... and this is new since the update.
No, remember these aren’t actually chargers, they are EVSE - electric vehicle supply equipment. I chose a third party unit as I like they’re Wi-Fi connectivity and app interface. Choose the one that works for you, including the Rivian unit is that’s the one you like.
I live in Florida and it is stupid hot here now until October. The noise and vibration after the update is horrible - I sure hope they roll back or fix this.
Hey FG3, have Luke check the box before he ships it to you and ensure that there are six U shaped teflon spacers included. So far two of us have only received one with our covers. It is very frustrating to not be able to install the cover. Hope you love it!
