Over the last couple of weeks, my R1S has developed a funk. Somewhere between BO and cat pee. Not overwhelming, but there when I open the door. It seems to get better after running the AC for a bit, or I go nose blind.
I assume it is water infiltration, but I haven't found any dampness...
Yesterday it would stop charging after 45 min, this happened twice. I hard reset the vehicle and the charger. It then fully charged. Now we watch and wait.
I am experiencing the same issue. Random nights it will just stop charging after a couple hours, and then pick up again. This morning it happened again, 20% below the threshhold, and it was plugged in since 8:00pm last night. Seems to happening since the last software update.
I'm always worried about dinging those armrests when hauling stuff, like folding tables and chairs. They are just so exposed. I happen to find that the kneeling mat that I have been keeping in my vehicle is a perfect fit! $15 at Home Depot.
It worked well with the Tesla. I charge to 90% each day, and it would be nice to not be sitting at 90% for 3 hours each night. Also, starting your drive in the morning on a warmed up battery is more efficient, I think.
I could change my start time to midnight, but that won't be enough on...
I noticed the chrome paint is flaking on my drivers door handle, I was hoping that was actual metal but it isn't. I wasn't going to care, but if this is a warranty item, I'll get it fixed. I'm at 1 year and 22,000 miles.
I had Carplay for years, it is great. Laggy or not, it just works. In the Rivian, I don't miss it much. Biggest thing I miss is having a choice for maps. But the Rivian app is better than all other manufacturers onboard GPS. That being said, Scout will have Carplay and some real buttons and...
Mine just finished, it took maybe 45 min. I won't be out driving for bit, but the reverse throttle mapping should be interesting. I'd love a coast mode so I can hover over over the brake like a normal car, seems like it would be safer.
I assume this is similar to the carplay mmi boxes for BMWs. I had one in a 2011 335, and it worked pretty well. A little wonky sometimes, but I'm an IT guy, nothing I'm not used to.
I dropped my R1S off at Trenton to get a compact spare installed and get an alignment. They said the new service center will be right down the street from where they are, and will be a pop-up service center, whatever that means. Expected to be open June/July. Don't think it is the building we...
