I don't mind having to wait a bit for SW updates as a Contect+ non-subscriber, but the issue I see in this case is that the costumes feature is *not* something gated by Contect+. We're all supposed to get it, but it's a limited-time feature. If it were not a limited-time feature that will go...
You guys are on your *second* 2024.39.x? Damn, that's annoying. I'm still on 2024.35.0.
I get that Connect+ subscribers are supposed to get SW sooner, but these Halloween themes are *not* gated behind Connect+, and they're limited-time. Why am I still waiting for this? It would be nice to enjoy...
To be clear, salt and fresh water are both highly conductive. The difference with salt water is that it's more corrosive. If you're worried about a short circuit leading to a fire, both are pretty much equally dangerous (or not if you're well sealed). The corrosion that salt water can give you...
I'm not sure that's a Jeep-unique thing. Motorcyclists have been waving to each other (all brands) as a show of camaraderie and respect for longer than I've ridden them. My first car was a '72 MG Midget—drivers of those would wave to each other when they met on the road.
That said, what would...
I wave at Rivians, but then I also wave at cybertrucks... I figure you've got an amazing EV truck, why not wave! I don't think any of the other Rivian drivers have noticed me, but once a cybertruck driver waved back - just wish he'd used more fingers...
How is it that we're in late 2024 and this still is not a thing in our R1's? I'd love to hear from Rivian what the hold-up is - it should have been in a SW update years ago.
I've got a new 2024 R1T still riding on the OEM Pirelli Scorpion's. I expect those tires to wear out relatively quickly compared to other tires I've had on other vehicles. I like the range I get with the stock 21's, and now that there seems to be a viable alternative to them I like the idea of...

Reach out to Jose. He may be able to hook you up if they're still offering these. [email protected]
2024 Dual Large. Picked it up less than 2 months ago, so not much data. 1656 miles total. 2.71 mi/kWh, 832 kWh. Running on 21". A mix of around-town and highway miles.
I wonder how much data Rivian is sitting on? All our vehicles communicate with the mothership, so I'd imagine they have...
Perhaps not the most, but it comes in 4th behind GSMNP (obviously), Grand Canyon, and Zion; and is followed by Rocky Mountain and Yosemite. When you look at the map I think you can see why. GSMNP is out there all by itself on the East Coast whereas out West there are a lot more headliner parks...
Man, it's amazing that Idaho and Wyoming have such a lack of SC options. I mean, I can understand South Dakota being baren or nearly so - who goes there? (kidding! check out https://www.earthtrekkers.com/best-things-to-do-south-dakota-black-hills/).
Seriously, though, this is a crying shame...
Thanks for sharing this, the results on my 2024 R1T are great!
One thing to note. This might seem obvious, though it wasn't to me as this was the first time I'd done anything with the manual setting for the EQ, but I had trouble getting the specific settings you recommended. If there was some...
I was unable to get the attachment you linked to open, so I went to the owner's manual and pulled up this list of sample commands.
Car Controls
"Alexa, open/close the hood/front trunk."
"Alexa, open/close the charge door."
"Alexa, open the tailgate."
"Alexa, turn on/off the rear light."...
This is probably not an obvious process at all for those of us who have not yet set up a personal automation. Here are the steps I followed to get to the screenshot the OP posted.
Start the shortcuts app on your iOS device
Make sure you're on the first screen. For me, the app started out...
@Electrified Outdoors I think there's some info here that could help improve your otherwise excellent delivery checklist.
I didn't realize there was this difference, or that you could pick up a USB power meter so inexpensively. Consequently, I prepared for my pickup by bringing the handiest...
I can try that when I pick up the truck. I'll also ask the SC to try the ports with a MagSafe charger if possible before I drive back.
Still curious if anyone else can confirm if a MagSafe charger works or not with those ports on their R1. That would be useful data as well.
Well that's interesting. This seems to indicate that all of the USB-C ports may be 15W, or at the least all of the rear seat accessible ports are. If that's the case, then I wonder why the other USB-C ports all do work with my MagSafe charger, but not the ones on the rear display?
EDIT: I did...
Are the USB-C ports in the rear display compatible with an Apple MagSafe charger? Are they rated for 20W or more?
I ask this because when I picked up my 2024 R1T I brought a genuine Apple MagSafe charger to test the USB-C ports. Neither my guide nor I got my iPhone to charge using that charger...
