I think you have Summon confused with Smart Summon and auto-park. I'm referring to regular/"dumb" Summon. Regular Summon (which only moves forward or backward for tight parking situations) works on my Tesla and other people's Teslas (so, yes, it does exist).
2024.07.02 is the buggiest update I've gotten (I didn't get the one that had bricked the vehicle; otherwise, that would have been the worst). I've had this door-unlocking issue, daily "vehicle error" charging problems that magically resolved themselves, all cameras and parking sensors failing...
Did Rivian service actually test it with an L3/DCFC? Did they review the logs?
Do you have a DCFC near your home that you can test out before your next trip?
One time, I remotely turned on preconditioning and then the car got over the "vehicle error" and began topping off the battery while preconditioning (without me touching the charger). It might have been just a coincidence, but it tells me that it's not a physical error with the connection.
It's...
I started having this problem on 2024.07.02 with the driver's door not unlocking, too. I read somewhere to restart the Rivian app on my phone which didn't make sense (I highly doubt the phone app controls which doors and mirrors lock/unlock). But I restarted the app anyway and so far, it's been...
I'm in the same boat. After installing 2004.07.02, the app flashed a giant red "CHARGER DAMAGED" covering half the screen but then it immediately disappeared so I couldn't take a screenshot. Other folks on Reddit had the same experience and general consensus was that it was a fluke.
Then a...
Same here (V7 & V03.00.30). I've been on this same version since I had the charger installed in April 2023. Rivian is on the latest firmware (2024.07.02).
I had the same giant red "charger damaged" message appear on my app but it disappeared immediately. A bunch of folks on Reddit had the same experience: Vehicle charger damaged : Rivian (reddit.com), so I assumed it was a bug.
The next day, I started getting "vehicle error" messages on my app...
Rivian really dropped the ball with voice control.
You'll need to log in to your Amazon/Alexa account to use most voice commands. For whatever lame reason, Alexa in the car can't get its location unless you log in to your account. I guess Amazon wants to know everywhere you go and everything...
With this update, is the car supposed to use shore power (from the grid) instead of battery when you manually precondition? It looks like you can only pull power from the wall when preconditioning if you're using a schedule (via the toggle option in that UI); unfortunately, I don't have a...
IMHO, I think amending your 2022 return is the best option, as there are no benefits to filing under IRA (2023).
FWIW: I also did the buyer's purchase agreement. I got my Rivian in 2023. I filed my amended 2022 return on 5/15/23. I got the check ($7,500 + interest) in the mail on 6/23/23, which...
Is that actually what the release notes say about preconditioning? I think it just states that it can draw power outside of TOU schedule to periodically top off the battery. Maybe I’m reading it wrong.
