the all-in total including mounting, TPM sensors, lug nuts, balancing, and freight (rims had to be shipped in from Salt Lake) was $3765.
I'm pretty sure that comes in less than the Rivian OEM rims and AT tires, and these are (reportedly) far better in the snow.
For the Yakima EXO gearbox, the mount is specific for the EXO hitchmount, so it woudn't work on the R1T cross bars. But there are other Yakima gearboxes/rocketboxes (as well as other brands) that should work for over the bed.
Yeah, that was rather painful....especially when you add in the iKamper. I justified it to the wife (and more so to myself) by saying that hey, it's still cheaper than an Airstream.
They are Discoverer Snow Claws on XD851 Monster III rims. We haven't had too much deep snow yet in the West to play in, but they've done great on the snowpacked roads and slushy stuff that I've put them through thus far. Hoping for a decent storm this weekend, so I might finally get to see how...

These look amazing and I’m looking forward to browsing through all of the color and pattern options. One limitation of the factory mats is that they are flat, with no lip or containment around the edges, so water and debris just runs or rolls right off the mat and onto the carpet around the...
Very nice! Thanks for posting!
I anticipate we would need our second row more often than would make this feasible for us, but it does now make me wonder about removing the third row of seats for more storage. We just did our first winter camping trip and had plenty of room even with both...
Nah, but you might still be a lil bit drunk…
I thought my skis would hang way over but surprisingly they don’t. The base of the Riv is actually pretty wide. I’m 6’3” and usually ski 175s and they don’t hang over at all.
Sadly, Viv is still ground-bound.
Yeah good question. You could certainly swap them, but if the box is on the bottom, you can’t open the lid very far unless you swing the Topshelf around. That’s not too difficult, but it’s additional steps when I just want to grab my boots and gear and go. I’m only driving about a mile to the...
Super sharp, love it!
I also wondered about the question from mkhuffman about whether are any specific considerations for cleaning, automated carwashes with spray wax, etc.
Also, anyone ever seen a stealth PPF on a white vehicle? I'm considering it just because it seems like it would be...
Having recently ditched my ICE F150 long bed with camper shell, I've been wondering how I'm going to deal with schlepping all of my ski gear back and forth from the hill this season. Didn't really want to put wet gear and boots in my new vehicle, nor was I excited about using a rooftop box due...
Agree fully! What’s the benefit of having your front windshield clear if you still have to scrape the rear window and try to defog the mirrors? Perhaps this will be part of the 2023.50 update that is rumored to be coming soon with some more preconditioning options. ?
Thanks for the detailed explanation behind this. FWIW, I would also be interested in a more integrated and molded option down the road when it makes sense for you to make that leap.
In the meantime, I just purchased the current TWRAPS jumbo mud flaps, so thanks!
