We've had our Heatshield front and top shields for maybe 10 or 11 days now.
The windshield cover is GREAT.
It so precisely fits the front glass, and with the way the interior trim is wrapped right up against the glass, the Heatshield just tucks right in and stays put; You don't even need to put...
It's in the manual.
It specifically mentions switching between energy graph and map. It does not mention the added-by-software-update tire pressure monitoring, which is where ours is set 95% of the time.
Page 90 of the currently published PDF:
Same thing developed on ours in the first 250mi or so, and we never even drove hard during that period. Still haven't used launch mode.
Gather enough anecdotes into anecdata, seems like it's a universal design flaw.
Until our garage rebuild is complete, we're using our Tesla Mobile Connector with the Lectron Tesla->J1772 adapter
It's working just fine at 40A (Since we only have a 50A circuit for the plug).
I'd expect the Tesla Wall Connector would work similarly fine.
Just updated my vote from "Not experiencing, would contact service" to "I have it, would contact service"
My first ~100mi were free of tock/click/clunks, but we definitely have it reproducibly now.
I had a small list of non-critical service items, but this addition pushed us over the edge to...
On the one hand, I desperately want the more accurate speedometer display.
On the other hand I'm a tonneau cover unicorn in that mine operates without issue, and I don't want to jinx that.
?
Just ordered the Heatshield Store windshield and top glass shade.
Couldn't find any pictures of the top glass in an actual truck, so ordered it on faith... Will post pictures when they arrive.
IIRC you have an XC90.
My experience with our XC70 is similar, but smaller.
We don't change our own cabin filter anymore.
This looks like a dream in comparison.
That's not true, and Elektrek *is* correct.
The changes to the EV tax rebate structure go into effect Jan 1 2023.
So any purchase completed by Dec 31 2022 follows the old structure.
You're describing my life.
It's so unreliable.
If the truck hasn't unlocked by the time I'm 5 feet away, I know I'll be waiting another 20 seconds so I start digging out the key.
In Sport/Lowest/Standard (as opposed to Sport/Lowest/Stiff) we're definitely floating over uneven roads/potholes, etc.
In "stiff" it's way too stiff.
The real solution for the little people problem is running boards (bonus points for retractable) but in the meantime... we have other reasons...
"Being low" doesn't equate to "uncomfortable"
"Highest" could be implemented with as much stiffness as sport mode, and "lowest" could be implemented as soft and comfortable as they choose to.
We prefer lowest because we have a short adult family member and two little kid family members that...
At first, based on your photo, I thought "no way will it work"
The real photo with the gate open convinces me it *MIGHT* actually work.
Agreed, it'll be tight if it does work!
The ride height latching is a nice change, but... Until they add "Lowest" as an option for All Purpose, I guess we'll continue scooting around town in Sport mode.
I never knew that about boat trailers. TIL.
Physics-wise, I know you're right.
Warranty/liability-wise, the manual says in unequivocal terms:
We're a year away from towing anything over 5,000lbs so I'm just now starting to pay close attention to what people are posting and asking their...
The manual suggests a weight distributing hitch over 5,000lbs, and you appear to not have used one at 7,000lbs.
Notice any sway? (I assume not on your low speed 8mi drive ?)
Does your trailer have brakes and - if so - In your opinion does the integrated brake controller work well?
