I wish articles would stop using the "Lost X on every Item Sold" unless the company is actually selling a product at a loss.
If the company is investing a crap ton of money into designing and developing a new product or a production line then its not really losing money on each vehicle sold...
I can certainly understand being annoyed at Rivians poor communication, and execution. You're basically joining a crowded club with that.
But, do you really want a Rivian without a Service center within a couple hours drive?
I've only owned my R1T for 9 months or so and its been to the...
This is extremely concerning for any EV owner.
In my experience with Superchargers, and now with CCS Fast chargers its not all that unusual to end up in crowded stations where things might get heated.
Usually people agree to disagree where there is nothing except an argument and venting...
I had a 2018 Model 3P and I felt like the Tesla footage was pretty crappy. The same kind of issue where it was difficult to read the license plate if the car wasn't right in front.
The other thing that really limited its capabilities is they'd only give footage of 4 camera. That meant no wide...
You can't just claim you've read the user manual.
To be in full user manual reading compliance you not only have to read it after every SW update, but have the capability of forgetting anything you learned from the previous read.
Some companies *cough* Tesla *cough* remove features.
:)
Anyone that has ever tried to close their tonneau half way would likely agree. The single button press means you don't really know which way its going to go when pushed.
This one button press thing is also why I never linked homelike to summons on my Tesla. I do miss Homelink as Rivian doesn't...
I don't believe so, but I would have removed it to avoid a distraction.
My reaction to the seeing it was negative. This isn't anything against you or those that do, but simply my own gut reaction.
My reaction to the post was very positive.
If Rivian doesn't come out with their own solution...
I wish new automakers like Tesla, Rivian, etc would focus on AI assistance.
The car should be able to predict when I'm going to work, and it should tell me how long its going to take me to get there. It should also tell me an alternative route if road construction or an accident screwed up the...
You always have to have the key card with you as a backup regardless if its a Tesla or a Rivian.
Neither vehicle is even close to 99.99% perfect with the phone as key working properly. Now sure the Rivian is undoubtedly worse than the Tesla but the Tesla still isn't good enough to really rely...
I'm thinking of going this route to transport an 88" couch that weighs around 300 pounds from Portland, OR to Snohomish, WA
Or I might rent a Van and use Taskrabbit to get help moving the couch on both sides.
I'd sell the couch if it didn't have the heat and massage features. :-)
My R1T (6XXX VIN) has had the tok on acceleration and declaration since around 3000 miles.
Service Apt #1 -> The normal lube which improved it, but didn't eliminate it
Mobile Service -> Said the noise was abnormal
Service Apt #2 -> Claimed "within spec"
Service Apt #3 -> Did the Half shaft...
I'll be working, but hopefully someone will inquire about the Driver+ disabling due to overhead tolls (basically cameras). If Rivian knows about the issue and is working on a way where customers can report them to have them fixed so they don't disable Driver+.
I dropped off my vehicle at the Bellevue Service Center today for the half shaft tok'ing issue.
I wonder if they'll proactively fix the bluetooth connection issue. :)
I do have the same issue, but I didn't report it. Most of the time the fob works fine for proximity unlocking, but sometimes...
I think our opinions differ in what constitutes a legitimate whine. I certainly agree that the CP/AA complaints do get a bit old. I don't really complain about those, and instead I see what they're intended use is. I think they're just texters trying to text and drive. Haha.
To me if a person...
