I'm aware of the Davis island house , there was another Tesla parked outside nearby that burned and there's a video from a garage cam of a Tesla and it was obvious that the fire started from the lower part of the car. I'm not saying that all EVs are just going to burst into flames but there...
I'm sure the recent EV fires in the Tampa Bay area are making the news after hurricane Helene submerged many coastal homes. So sad to see the devastation. We are very fortunate (lucky) since our home is on the Anclote River that backed up due to storm surge and only inches away from entering...
The springs on mine broke off. Looks to be a plastic welded part that's the weak link and it breaks off and it and spring fall into the void. I'd blame our toddler but I'd rather put the blame on Rivian. ;)
Not sure if all R1S rear wiper arms are the same or not. In my case the trico did not fit. (2023 April build date R1S )
The Rivian rear wiper arm has a tab and the wiper blade assembly has a matching slot. The trico does NOT have the slot. Rivian on left. Trico on right.
Mine were all there before a recent service visit that required the lower panel to be removed. Now post service 4 are missing. ? Wonder how many happened to disappear on the tech's tool cart?
Our Garage is tight and as a work around I created a routine "When I arrive home in the Rivian", "Alexa turn on the camera". When I approach the garage I hear Alexa say "OK" and the front camera turns on. There should be detailed instructions in a previous post on the forum.
That's most definitely a hydraulic suspension leak. I don't have any warning lights or driveability issues. Hope yours is an easy fix!
Mine is more inboard and below the drivers side rear motor. After a chat with a tech in Illinois he pretty much isolated the issue to either a loose...
I was able to get under the car and made a video. I sent that to Rivian and they believe it's the drivers side rear motor that's leaking oil. CV is nice and dry and from what I can see without removing the lower cover panel the leak is directly below the drive motor.
Recently noticed the garage floor seemed to have something oily that was under the driver's rear corner. I raised the suspension to it's highest level and found quite a bit of oily fluid that's been leaking and collecting dirt on the underside. Seems to originate above and drip down into the...
A software reset did the trick. Held the 2 outermost steering wheel buttons for 15 seconds and waited for the software to restart. Garage opener is now working correctly via drivers display and steering wheel.
Did anyone else loose the garage door button on their steering wheel after this update? I've used it daily and worked perfectly before this update. I did go to into the menu and remove the location associated with the garage and then added the location again. No luck. It correctly located...
Reserved this morning!
2 glove boxes, and a roll down rear window woohoo!! I haven't had a vehicle with those features since my '04 Land Rover Freelander SE3.:like:
I'm wondering how this will play out with the upcoming made in China Volvo EV30.
Also from what I understand its UI is based on a Google OS. When I was in China a few years ago, of course everything Google was blocked. Gmail, Maps etc.
