I used IONNA a few times over Christmas last year. The charging speed was noticeably less than Tesla and EVgo, and no one else was charging there but me. The price was less, though, on a road trip, I'd pay more to sit less.
I personally woudn't give up the ride height, power closing frunk, and the nicer interior materials of the R1. However, we are adding an R2 to our garage for the other driver in the house that none of what I said matters to LOL.
I wouldn’t go as far as saying the R2 active dampers won’t fail before 68K miles. I had a failed rear-right damper after 3 yrs and about 50K miles of driving, while the air suspension itself has had no issues.
Most of the problems to date on the R1s have actually been failing or leaking...
The color pallet will always revolve and change, especially when they need more demand levers. To start they went with safe colors that appeal to the masses to build and sell them quickly. The fact is bold and bright colors are hardest to move.
This would be disappointing. I’d rather have anything other than black.
I suspect this would be only to streamline production for speed. Or maybe it’s a cash flow decision to reduce the number of parts to start.
Rivian shouldn’t focus so much on matching Tesla pricing. Tesla has the means to drop prices any time they want, and they will if they feel threatened.
I'm confused once again by the brake caliper colors. Either they are showing a tri in the photos, or now they are adding yet another motor variant to the yellow caliper club LOL
It’s possible Rivian tried reaching them. I’ve never personally seen a 12V warning, but I did receive a proactive call letting me know my 12V battery was getting weak.
It’s hard to know whether someone didn’t receive a call because of a spam blocker, outdated contact information, or if they’d...
The leak has to be more than residue, like visible drops, and the fluid reservoir has to be below a certain threshold.
The hydronic dampers aren’t the same as the air suspension. If you have a leaky damper, it will have no affect on ride height. If you notice the vehicle lowering after it’s...
Not sure if this was mentioned in the thread yet, but if your replacement battery truly died at 18 months, it should have been covered by Rivian. Rivian states that all replacement parts have a 24-month warranty and are not related to your vehicle warranty or mileage. I would call Rivian and...
