The Ridgeline two-way gate was so bomb. I wish Rivian implemented that design.
I set my butt onto the gate then shoulder roll into the bed. Chicks dig it.
No, I totally forgot to try, but you're right. Roads curve a lot, gently or otherwise, so you'd be better off trying it out on somewhere like I5 or sections of 80. Personally, not a fan of auto-drive functionality. Call me old school, but I prefer to stay in control.
We just returned from a 4-night haul up the NorCal coast to Redwood National Parks via Mendocino. I am first to admit that this 460-ish mile trip is tame (or lame, depending on your outlook) by comparison, but we had fun, and more importantly, hit the goal of learning about EV trips in general...
Conceptually, that's the same as Bluetooth. Not mad at that, just pointing it out.
I use an old (like, iPhone 4 old) to play my mixes (former DJ) via BT. It sounds fine, and auto-stops/starts when the truck is off/on, and (mostly) remembers where it left off between drives. The biggest gripe...
100% with the OP on this. I did ask Rivian's CS about this. Their "not in the near future, but we do offer a full suite of streaming applications..." won't cut it for me. Streaming blows. This is the biggest black eye, IMO.
I actually think a Telo-ish vehicle would do well, design notwithstanding. I know I don't need a Rivian-sized truck, but it's the only vehicle that ticks the most boxes in my needs' department (AWD, snowboarding, camping, occasional hauling of items best transported via open bed). The size is...
USB playback, or at least a viable explanation as to why they're dragging their heels for this seemingly easy-to-implement feature. The "well, we feature a suite of premium streaming services" line does not fly for those of us who like music our way. A lot of streamers either include...
I can see where that sentiment comes from, but this person has been on here for a bit, and the products are real. They're pretty good about engaging the community re: needs and wants. This post is just another one of those.
