I tossed our winter tires on my wife's dual motor R1S about 400 miles ago. She's averaging 2.6 mi/kwh over that distance. Which is similar to what she has averaged overall since getting the vehicle.

The caliper is ever so slightly different. A group of us was going to try and investigate it further when we were trying to buy some discounted wheels from Thuren, but we never ended up connecting the wheel with a couple of Gen2 vehicles.

Probably because they have laid off any well paid/knowledgeable ones and their internal notes say something like "this wheel is for 2022-2024 MY" and then the same wheel in another spot says "2025-2026 MY."

The front brake caliper is different between Gen1 and Gen2. At least for a dual motor. Which is why Thuren doesn't sell their wheels for Gen2. That being said, that hasn't been a problem for any other wheel that I have heard of, and I have my Gen1 OEM wheel on my Gen2 Dual Motor right now.

I know of one wheel that doesn't/didn't fit, and it's not the OEM ones.

The regular "staple" 20 inch wheels? They definitely fit. I have a pair of mine on my 2025 R1S right now for winter.

Did you precondition it for a long time prior to driving?

They won't. They didn't last time they screwed up trip meter data on Gen1. If they were to fix it, they would have known 2025.26. it's annoying.

A small quibble. The gen2 ADAS is significantly better than Gen1 right now, just in how it behaves and performs. Is there anything there that I would regularly pay for at the moment? No. But I'm honestly not sure what I would regularly pay for on top of Connect+ that they plan on offering...

yeah, half-shafts. At least in my uh.. perhaps dozen or so half-shaft experience.
