This right here. I'm a big Rivian fan, but no fanboy should be unwilling to critique to work towards something better.
Constantly dumping on them and being a troll isn't helpful either *looks at Peashooter*
Seems a little harsh considering the "totality of evidence" seems lacking. If it is there then please provide it.
In the end you believe what you want to believe.
The website? Well there are quite a few errors on it and have been for months.
CS? We know how accurate they have been

Curious where you feel "validated" in your initial assessment based on this thread?
I'm pretty sure the debate continues and it is unlikely anybody will "win".
It's also quite possible certain vehicles are simply sitting waiting for components to be completed. So yes, unsalable, but won't be shortly but supply chains are a mess.
While I am OKAY and actually optimistic for the quality of the vehicles with the way they are rolling out I would disagree that they still "count" as final production deliveries to customers.
Coming from manufacturing of high end equipment, we never delivered final production to our employees...
Here is my post from August but the numbers should still stand at this point. Going to have to sit in it.
For those who might be used to viewing these dimensions in inches, here is a comparison with the pre 2021 Tahoe (204") on a few dimensions (Edited with a few more to compare):

I'd pay that difference just for the ventilated seats!
However, we will see what happens with EV tax credits. If it has a cap and I need to get under that, then going Explore would save obviously from the upgrade cost but also the tax credit.
Sorry my question was in regards to jjswans comment on $4k :)
But like I said earlier, that price is pretty crazy for OH, I'll try to find my bill for the subpanel added for my Solar setup.
@DuckTruck had a post addressing this "matchy matchy" concern and I think it summed it up very well. BRB
Edit: Here was what DuckTruck posted. I think there was another post that I was thinking of as well but can't seem to find it
"One of the reasons I'm even more Gung-Ho than ever on Launch...
New panel installed or your service upgraded?
Adding a subpanel to an existing service should be substantially less.
Where you are in the country likely has a huge bearing on these costs. Maybe that cost is normal in your area? In Ohio where OP and I are, $4k is expensive even for upgrading...
Crazy
Mine was more simple because I didn't need the subpanel but that is still crazy high especially for Ohio (I'm in NE Ohio)
Mind you this was last year and I already had my charger purchased separately, but this was my estimate and it ended up being less because they didn't need more than...
At this point has there been any ETA for the max pack?
IMO before guides start reaching out to R1S reservation holders, they need to make the timeline clear with no ambiguity.
If it is 6 months, I can wait. If it is coming s00n then I'll go with the large pack.
I do not think we are saying anything really different.
I also did not intend to imply that the software is not modular, just that the base code/framework is going to be the "same" and a large portion of the hardware is also the same.
So different things will be enabled/disabled depending on...
When was this change made/communicated?
All the more reason more information needs to be released on the R1S. At this point I don't trust much from the website or CS because they still use most of the old photos and videos and we are left speculating.
