If Rivian was really worried about folks getting into these screens, it would be MUCH more difficult to access. This is a convenience for their techs. I doubt it will change in the next update.
That's my build but without the spare. A few more miles further of a drive but a 6 month earlier build date. Sure is strange how they pick us out.
Congrats. Excited. Should be another month or two for me.
Do any other companies provide monthly/quarterly builds/backlogs of their models? I'm not sure why folks would NOT expect a brand new manufacturer trying to build their first automobiles during a pandemic and then a global supply chain crisis wouldn't run into issues and be behind and...
Supply chain issues aren't my dog ate my homework. It's a real problem. And in a highly regulated environment like automobiles, you can't just design in a new chipset.
And there is plenty of money in the marketplace for investment.
I think folks discount the fact that software is hard. Good software is at least. And anytime you ADD another piece of 3rd party technology, your software and test teams have to spend time understanding the integration points and testing through all the potential iterations of such. Rivian...
I see these questions a lot. I live in NJ where a front plate is required. I’ve probably driven the last 20 years or so with various cars having no front plate. I think I’ve been pulled over for it once. Twice at the most and it’s a warning. Don’t think twice….
Congrats! We all have our things but just enjoy the truck. Know that there are at least less things to go wrong with an EV than an ICE vehicle and air suspensions have been around a while now. It will fail at some point I'm sure somewhere, but I think that will be pretty far down the road...
I ultimately am fine to wait, but figured I'd at least give my self a shot. I'm more interested to just have an estimate on the window that I thought folks in the potential running to see a truck in 2022 got. As I see the different threads about delivery windows.
Thanks yorty. I'm still not expecting mine tomorrow, but I figured I'd update my truck to give myself the best possibility of getting one this year. Normally, I know I'd not be still really near the front of the line, but if I'm still 2023, it would be nice to know that. Hopefully folks waiting...
I have a Feb, 21 original order with an Explorer package. I finally decided to upgrade to the Adventure package and made that change a few weeks ago. For folks who made a similar move, when did Rivian update your configuration with a delivery window?
