Just for data, what was the temperature when this happened? Was it sitting out covered by snow/ice at any point? I am hoping that it’s a low probably early-life failure mode and not a design flaw with PTC2.0. Simultaneously, I fear we may be in for dry-lube party 2.0.

Sorry to hear this happened OP. Very disappointed for you. I have been eagerly awaiting our PTC appointment in early April. I don’t know how many of the new PTCs are out in the wild, but it can’t be that many. I hope this will end up being a rare event for you and for everyone else.

Updated without issues. It does look like we lost tow planning in the final release. Hoping they bring it back in 2024.11 With the Rivian mobile app version 2.7.0 or later, the trip planner now accounts for towing, allowing you to select one of the Trailer Profiles defined in-vehicle.

Just kicked off the update. However, I no longer see trip planning with tow profiles in the release notes. It would be a bummer if they pulled it.

I think 2.7.0 is what the release notes mentioned but I have 2.7.2 on iPhone. Maybe try restarting the app if you haven’t already.

Chatted with service earlier today. They elevated my ticket and scheduled me for April 15 at the Denver SC. PTC broken since August 2022. Slats removed and tonneau disabled soon after.

Well, I now have an appointment for April 15th at the Denver SC….and I am pretty happy with that!
