The wranglers are not all season tires. I’m not sure why Rivian keeps pushing this lie. Go on Goodyears website and you’ll see they classify them as a AT tire.
Incorrect. The best riding and efficiency of all three options are the 20’s on 275/60/20 all season tires.
My Gen1 R1S on 20’s with 275/60/20 AS tires is 7% more efficient than my Gen1 R1T on 21’s.
The most efficient Rivian setup is 20’s on 275/60/20 all season tires. My R1S on 20’s with 275/60/20 AS tires is 7% more efficient than my R1T with 21’s.
Yes, you are suppose to put window film/tint over all the windows. The rear windows on SUV’s and crossovers do not come with tint in the sense we think of in aftermarket. It’s only a coloring that’s in the glass. That’s why it’s called privacy glass. It provides minimal to no heat reduction or...
Exactly. There is still no competition for the R1S yet. Teslas Model Y and X are mid and large crossovers. Kia EV9 is a boxy looking minivan with normal doors. EQS and lucid gravity are large station wagons. Lyriq is a crossover. IX is a crossover. Anything Audi makes is a crossover. The Macan...
Aside from the fact I hate that they call the Lucid Gravity a SUV when in reality it’s a station wagon/mini van looking vehicle. It will blow Rivian out of the water on range. 400+ miles of range does not sound like the R1S for highway. The gravity will easily get 100 more miles than the R1S in...
In June 2023 I purchased just the wheels. They allowed me to do this through pick up at the Miami SC. I said I do not want the tires, just the wheels. I got the 20” brights for $2222.
Who cares about connect plus for music apps. What everyone should really be complaining about is Rivian’s Bluetooth audio functionality. My 2016 BMW with idrive 5 could connect to my phone via Bluetooth and I could scroll and search through the music library on my phone from the car center...
Kudos. This is the most efficient setup from Rivian.
What a shame they won’t commit to 20” on 275/60/20 tires. Pretty dumb to advertise 22” as the range setup.
I have a real world example. It’s hard to compare people’s data from different geographies and other variables. I’m in southeast FL. It’s also funny people don’t post their average speed when they post the efficiency which helps with context.
I had a R1T, quad large pack with 21’s. Never...
Kneel mode is meant to go to the lowest setting in each mode. In AP mode you have high, normal and low. Kneel mode in AP mode will go into low. In sport mode, you have low and lowest. So, kneel mode will go into lowest.
You don’t want to buy vinyl. All the pre cut kits the black has a brown or gray hue to it. It’s cheap and won’t match the piano black on the car. For example, this persons blackout kit I saw online.
Versus, you want to use black ppf. More expensive but it matches painted piano black perfectly...
The 22” range wheels are forged, not cast like the normal 22’s. Motortrend and other outlets also found 3-5% improvement in efficiency with aero caps. So, with lighter wheels and aero caps on I’d say 5% better efficiency is a good estimate.
The first Rivian’s shipped out with 22’s had 115H load index. 115H is fine with the Rivian. Multiple people have done it on this forum and there are even people running 113 Y on their S I’ve seen. Michelin has a new LTX m/s2 that has a 116 rating.
Thats because the Goodyear is a 33 inch tire...
If you currently have 21’s or 22’s and put on 20’s with 275/60’s you don’t have to reprogram. It’s 0.3% difference. Not to mention Rivian confirmed in future updates they are going to let owners change their tire size themselves in their vehicle.
