Did you purchase pre price hike? If so, you can just put AS 275/60/20 tires on and save some money. My R1S quad in conserve mode on 20’s with AS tires gets the same efficiency as dual motor. I did a test from 100-0 charge on my daily driving. Took 10 days to drain, mostly city driving, I went...
It doesn’t matter if it thinks it’s on the 22’s. My 275/60/20 tires are .3% larger than the 21 own tires. Even if you reduce my efficiency numbers by .3% I am still way ahead.
The R1T is slightly more efficient than the S. My R1T had no exterior mods, large pack and 21’s. 5800 miles later and...
I already spent my money on the oem 20’s and sold my oem 22’s. Not sure how you’re confused on my previous comment. I compared both the R1T and R1S. I HAD both. R1T large pack on 21’s with no mods. My R1S with 20’s on AS tires, mud flaps and running boards is more efficient. My lifetime on S...
I did not recalibrate. No real need to.
I also had a R1T large pack on 21’s. 5800 miles and had 2.31 lifetime mi/kwh. My R1S with running boards and mud flaps Lifetime over 5800 miles is 2.49.
not sure why Rivian didn’t offer a 20inch to maximize range. Smaller wheels are more efficient.
You need to give context for range. Simply saying you have more is irrelevant. What wheels did you have on the launch edition? What wheels do you have now? I get about the same range as a dual motor on my quad. I have 20’s on 275/60/20. 343 real world miles over 10 days in my everyday driving...
Fast is top speed. Quick is 0-60. Wish people would get that right. So, back to the OP. Yes, the cybertruck wins in both fronts. Quicker 0-60 and faster top speed at 130mph I think it was.
275/60/20 is the smallest size you would want to go.
Rivian has to reprogram the vehicle and it’s only to the 21’s, 22’s or 20’s.
Example 1. If your vehicle comes with 21’s or 22’s. You don’t have to reprogram after putting on 20’s with AS tires.
Example 2. If your vehicle comes with OEM...
Smaller wheels are more efficient. You can put 275/60/20 on the 20 inch wheels from Rivian. My S is programmed to the 22inch wheels and I have the OEM 20’s on Pirelli AS 3 275/60/20. Currently with 3200 miles, my lifetime mi/kwh is 2.55 which is 10% more efficient than my R1T. My T had almost 6k...
Can you post pictures of the rubber you put around the rear windows and roof please?
Also, heads up the rear windows are not actually “tinted”. It’s just coloring and provides no heat reduction or uv protection compared actual tint like you applied on the front windows. I have 20 on the front...
Conserve mode and max regen. There is nothing else to tinker with then just those settings. The height really doesn’t matter. Brandon flasch did a YouTube video on this. Tested lowest versus normal and did not find much of a difference. It rides pretty poor in lowest setting.
I drove 343miles...
Drove 343.3 miles on one charge in conserve mode. Did a test from 100 to 0%-0miles, did not charge till I got to zero. Only got 290.3miles in all purpose. Took 10 days to get to zero in conserve and 9 days in all purpose. Would lose between 2-4 miles a day in either mode between sitting at work...
Try turning it around. I had the same issue with mine where there were gaps initially. Then I turned it around 180 degrees and then it fit better. Weird it’s not a perfect rectangle and like you said, tapered.
Neither car competes with Rivian. Both have the body style of a wagon and are lifted. Anyone that thinks either car is an SUV is out of their mind. What a shame society is these days. 90% of “SUV’s” are just lifted wagons with extra body work. It’s a shame the consumer cannot think for...
You can match the fronts to the rear easily. The rear is dyed to about 25%. 70 on the rear, 20 on the front. There you go.
Any ceramic tint as low as 5% or as high as 70% gives you about the same performance, the difference is less than 1% for uv protection and heat reduction. It’s just about...
As said before in this forum. The T is more aerodynamic than the S. Why else would it get 347 in conserve mode versus the 328 of the S on 21’s with the same battery back? So for my S to have better mi/kWh than my T has merit. Unless you or anyone else has both vehicles on different wheels, this...
Here is more date for anyone considering the switch. These are pretty much the exact same routes to and from Orlando on the turnpike here in Florida, just different times of the year. Tried to get similar speed and distance.
My previous trips with R1T (on 21’s with Aero inserts on) numbers range...
