Could be a spot for the air compressor accessories bag. Make the bag bigger so you can actually get everything back in the bag. Also a spot for extra ball hitches, tow straps other emergency gear that doesnāt get used frequently, bit is nice to have, just in case.
I test road a Multistrada, what a beast of a machine, loved it, but I went with a 1200GSA because of local maintenance shop, fuel tank size and a ton of 3rd party mods and support
Yeah, but itāll be pricey to build. Rough estimate is $700-800. High quality rollers, epoxy to set them, felt weather stripping for the track area, rubber weather stripping for the cab and tailgate ends. Iād have to get or borrow.proper tools as well
Customization is part of car culture. I just need to figure out where to put my chrome exhaust tips :)
in seriousness Iāve got a plan in my head for a permanent DIY, in case Rivians fix is poorly made or ridiculously expensive
I like the Seaboard material, Iām just waiting to see what Rivian comes up with and the price before I pull the trigger on the HDPE. Iām thinking of routing grooves and maybe trying to find rollers that fit the rail system
If you need a cover quick, here the thread for my DIY. $125 and 2 hours of time including the trip to Lowes

I have had the ACC slam the brakes for speed bumps and for no reason that could find. ACC seems to work great in stoplight to stoplight traffic and is ok at Interstate speeds, but at 40 mph on an empty boulevard, it acts paranoid.
I would like a dumb cruise option for interstate travel. If a...
I use ACC 90% of the time, but I donāt like how slow it accelerates from a stop. With the ACC still engaged you can accelerate with traffic and when you reach the previously selected speed let off the pedal and it holds the selected speed. While this is great, when changing lanes to get around...
I did a DIY cover, itās last one on this thread. https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/diy-temporary-tonneau-bed-cover.10300/page-12#post-284465
If itās going be a better version of my vinyl fence, Iāll either build a custom wooden cover or a single piece of Seaboard and some weather stripping
They went in pretty easy, havenāt had a cause to take them out yet. I cut the V notch in the edges about 2ā deep. It collapsed pretty easy. There are some open areas along the tongue and groove edges that could allow moisture into the inside of the planks. But, itās a temporary cover. Once the...
IMHO, they over engineered the crap out of this. Using the existing tow hook mounts is an excellent idea. If the hooks are strong enough to pull a 7200 lb truck, theyāre strong enough to push snow or a 5000lb winch. A simple double tube ābumperā and a forward leaning hoop would be a place to...
A Pre-Runner style push bar with a front hitch mount for a winch or towing. something like this with a plate and hitch mounted to existing tow hook mounts
