I have to push the low end of the EQ all the way up to get much of any bass. It's not impressive, but it should be vaguely there.
All around the Meridian audio in the R1T is disappointing.
They said this was expected late 2022... I'm surprised we haven't seen any more about it. This is a big feature (and much needed, imo).
I get a lot of GG videos that start too late to be valuable. And I often see vehicles in adjacent parking spots appear/disappear without a video for them...
If it's got a 40A breaker (and assuming you used a licensed electrician and everything was permitted and passed inspection) then you can safely charge at up to 32A, which is the max the included Rivian Mobile EVSE can charge at, anyway.
If you're going to buy a different EVSE then you'll just...
The LED brightness issue was resolved in an OTA update.
I still think they should make it configurable, but their new default is much improved from what it was.
THIS. ABSOLUTELY THIS!
I like the topo idea but those colors look really bad against the Black Mountain interior in the pictures. The wood needs to be stained black. Or can you offer an anodized aluminum plate that's laser-etched with the topo pattern? Something that is not 3d printed...
AFAIK, it's two separate transactions.
You'd get a refund on your purchase (based on purchase price) plus fees/taxes/penalties.
You'd then purchase a new vehicle @ current prices.
Unless you're a douche canoe with a YouTube channel, I don't think Rivian will negotiate with you on options/pricing.
NEMA 6-50 doesn't include neutral, which the NEMA 14-50 does have. If the neutral wire isn't present behind the outlet then it may not be as easy as swapping the outlet.
Personally, I wouldn't wire a NEMA 14-50 outlet without the neutral present. It could cause issues for future uses.
If the...
I don't think Rivian can be forced to provide an IOU on the cover. If you successfully use lemon laws to force a buyback, they'll give you money and you can choose to buy another Rivian -- but you would have to pick from what's offered, at the time, afaik.
I do find it fascinating that Apple people tend to love their devices, but also seem to accept that people can like what they like and use what they want to use. Android users often seem to take a more active "hate Apple" stance and try to control what others do. Super unhealthy. Ironic, too...
Choice for service is their #1 value add, imo. I own a Volvo and I have four dealerships within convenient driving distance -- Probably double that if I drive an hour.
The DTC auto manufacturers have comparatively awful service experiences.
Rivian is an 8 hour round trip, for me, not counting...
The Normal IL factory is designed for 150k unit production annual with ability to expand. The proposed Georgia plant is larger. How many guides do you think they’d need to keep up? They already can’t satisfy their small number of initial deliveries. It is not scaleable. It’s so obviously...
my guide sucked for sales, too. But even if yours was amazing, the guide program is still stupid and proof of organizational ineptitude at Rivian. The program cannot scale.
It never did. It was doomed to fail from the start. There was no way it could ever scale. The fact they even launched it is a scary glimpse into how mismanaged their operations have been.
Dealerships can be good because they compete against each other. Keep in mind that "can" doesn't mean "always are". I've also said that choice is crucial.
I ride motorcycles. I don't expect a 7k+ lbs truck to feel like that. So if you want to interpret that as "no" then go for it.... But if you expect that it should, then I think you've got unreasonable expectations.
