So with 50 amps direct wired you are only going to deliver 48. The same with 60 and a plug.
I went 50 direct and get 26-27 miles per hour while charging at 48 amps. Charging at 24 amps prior when I was using my 30 amp dryer outlet was 11 miles an hour.
This page I found very helpful...
I'm a geek, not an electrician, but this is my EV6, battery is about half the size of my R1T and reliably charges at a higher rate (and due to the size much quicker)
Depending on the reason for the road trip I prefer the EV6 because it charges so damn fast... This session brought me from 11 to...
When I go for a run on a warm day I often lock my R1T and then place the key either on the tires or on the spoiler in a slot on the roof by the rear windshield.
I wouldn't expect anyone to rummage around the outside of the truck seeing it is locked. Similar to what you already do but I think...
I had a Devil of a time with the camp speaker. First 2-3 uses were great. Then I kept having to repair, it would stop in the middle of playing, and quite honestly it's not exactly a great speaker.
I love the thought and the idea, but maybe mine is just a lemon?
I'm on the other coast, my R1T went in to a certified repair shop and they sent to Boston SC for tuning. It's now been two months of no truck, and no real ETA on when I get it back, (but I'm hopeful for next week)
everything took longer, the insurance company didn't like the quote from the...
Just curious about if anyone has this cover along with a roof top tent? (I'm awaiting delivery of an Air Cruiser)
Are you still able to flip the first panel up or is the tonneau stuck completely down unless I remove it?
My insurance wrote it for $2300. It got to the shop (Rivian authorized, 2 hours away) and they told me it could be as much as 60k. Turned out around 24k...
You can see the original damage in the top photo. Others were sent to me from the shop... I was pretty floored at how much they had to do...
I have a full 50 AMP (48 usable on RT!) and wouldn't go lower. Our batteries are huge My RT1 charges at 26-27, but my EV6 has a much smaller battery and chargers 33-35 MPH
Check out the different rate here. https://evadept.com/calc/
(I went ChargePoint flex and herd wired to avoid the 20% drop.
No Rivian on the list. Perhaps Rivian doesn't use the CAN bus feature, and that is what it connects to.
I got it for my Kia EV6 and once it arrives I hope to be blown away. But with Rivian I'm stuck with Driver+ and any upgrades. I don't mind it as much here, the EV6 has a ton of wonky...
@Rob O - My Rivian was barely a month old and about 2000 miles on it and then someone hit the side (basically a fender bender)...
Long story short my Tonneau and rails from Rivian are still in a box and it may be another week before I get to play with it.
Buddy just got his Rivian manual...
That's odd, there are some photos of people that fit them into the gear tunnel no problems.

I don't recall seeing it asked yet, but is there a bag that can be used for storage? I'm hoping to not have my gear tunnel entrances look like an animal was clawing at it....
For those of you who have never heard of this, comma.ai is the company that sells hardware for "OpenPilot", which adds an ADAS (Level 2) to cars. It's, by most accounts, much better than what you get with stock ADAS systems. The creator of the company/OpenPilot has a few videos
Anyone have...
I get 48AMPS from a 50 AMP breaker (direct wired to the changer, no plug) and the charge rate is about 11 kwh or 26 miles an hour. Sometimes on conserve I get 27.
Full disclosure this is a Chargepoint Flex, not the Rivian, I like having all my history in there and it do a great job estimating...
