Hopefully the R2 is compatible with the R1 spare, I'd just probably swap the spare to an R2 if I decide to get it in the future. I'm still holding out for the R3!!!

The one way you could get around this is to install an Echo Auto in the vehicle or not switch to the Rivian Assistant. I don't subscribe to to C+ and had an old Echo Auto that I used in a previous vehicle. Works great to play Amazon Music and SXM stations as I don't have an account...
It clearly says that on the Riviantrackr site : https://riviantrackr.com/2026-15/
Rivian Assistant is available on vehicles that are actively subscribed to Connect+
I realize that, but if you don't subscribe to C+, then RivAss is not available. So for Gen 1 there are essentially no updates if you don't have C+.
From Release notes from YOUR site:
Rivian Assistant is available on vehicles that are actively subscribed to Connect+
So pretty much nothing if you’re Gen 1 and not subscribed to C+ … RivAss is yet another data collection service, this should be free to use as Rivian benefits
I just got my R1S back and this is EXACTLY the same BS response I received. Within spec, the won’t do anything about it even though I reported that I occasionally get a pop up error message to wait for the vehicle to raise before driving because it has dropped so much.
Just dropped my R1S off at Eastvale and had no problem getting a loaner. They didn't try to push Uber/Lyft credits at all. No way this is going to last once the R2 comes out!
Agree. If you plan on keeping the vehicle after the warranty then an extended warranty is the way to go -- I plan on getting X-Care.
I just dropped mine off at the service center and asked if they will be doing an alignment if they replace the dampers, the person that checked me in said that...
Same here. Front suspension sags, but rear is staying put. Time for me to put in a service request.
EDIT : Just put in a service request and amazingly was given an appointment for this Friday (April 10) in Eastvale, CA ... was much quicker than I expected. Added a few other items to the...
This was exactly the fate that Tesla suffered. I bought a Model S before the Model 3 came out, and service was great. Once the 3 came out, it took forever to get appointments and the Service Center (Costa Mesa) was so swamped that every time I brought my vehicle there, they damaged something...
I have used Uber credits in the past for Tesla and the Uber/Lyft both Lucid and Rivian provided when I went to pick up the vehicles when I purchased. The problem with Uber/Lyft credits is that they don't cover tip, so the tip portion is out of pocket and I'm not going to stiff the driver...
