My hood and passenger side door on my 23 R1S were very out of alignment when I took delivery. The service center got them straightened out to my satisfaction. You may be seeing examples of where the original owners didn't GAF or have the wherewithal to go back to the SC to get them fixed...

And don't forget that Spring in the southern hemisphere ends on November 29th. So Rivian "technically" has an out. 🤣

And it looks like they took Ortega Highway from Irvine to get there based on the footage. The road is MUCH better since they repaved and widened it slightly. Ortega has the reputation for one of California's most dangerous roads (former coworker died on it years back), but it sure is scenic.

If this is the case, then Gen 1 capability would beat non-paid Autonomy+ as it has auto steer + lane centering (on mapped freeways with hands on) and adaptive cruise control included. Seems foolish of Rivian to derate Gen 2 to LESS than Gen 1 capability.

I guess us Gen 1 customers aren’t grousing too much about this one.

I have Solar and Powerwalls and as long as there's sun, I should be OK, but agree if there was ever a very prolonged outage, this is a great idea vs keeping the garage door to the house open!

I recall that Rivian is committing you allowing consumers to purchase the 12V batteries and service themselves. They will most likely still be stupidly expensive.

Given how fricken expensive tires are nowadays, burnouts don't make any sense are you are burning $$$$ in the process!!

Mine still wakes up 1 to 2 times a day for about 2.5~3 hrs with the tender attached losing about 0.8 - 1% battery a day. Maybe 1 to 2 times a month it will wake and stay awake for 5-8 hrs. I've calculated I waste about 400 kWH per year due to the wasted battery drain.

I'm waiting for Rivian to push the update to enable Scuba Mode ...

Honestly, other than Connect+ subscription fees, I don't know what data/revenue Rivian is losing by having users utilize CP. They already have access to your location at all times. Not sure what data they are currently monitizing, I'd expect that they don't get a rev share on any of the audio...
