A dedicated tire can get double-secret/weird/mysterious at launch. And probably $$$ to replace like-for-like. I've poked around TR a bit, 60/55/R20 is really hard to find w/ 3PMSF, perhaps due to dimension ratios?

Yep. Wild guess is this is some kind of (chemical?) modification to the baseline T/A tire in order to get 3PMSF in the R2 size as T/A+.

There's been a very strange exception floating out there re: BFG T-T T/A ATs: the 20" size specifically for R2 has seemingly lacked 3PMSF AW tag but all other sizes have it. Is this really the case? Seems weird + stupid. That said, I'm now seeing BFG T-T ‘T/A+’ on Tire Rack, so maybe R2 size...

So figure Gen3 as MY27.5 around year-end? MY28 flip likely in summer 2027, at least based on recent MY changeovers?

Can you elaborate any further re: fit in front? Head vs. sunroof framing, shoulder & elbow vs. B-pillar, knees vs. dashboard, and hip point vs. other SUVs you’ve experienced?

Oddly, I don’t like the top hat look on the Rivian crossbars, much prefer the streamlined look like this - but can you get decent quality on Amazon?

Agree with this - even if it means getting stuck w/ non-3PMSF (AW) BFG 20" ATs - one set and done. I'd prefer the factory install the Pirelli 20" AS on the Performance AT rims instead, if not anything AW. We'll see.

R1 gets AT 20" wheels/tires, spare, underbody shield, and couple drive modes for $3,700. Curious to see what R2 AT turns out to be.
