Excellent camp kitchen! Stock, or heomemade? Iāve converted from a van, where I had room for one that slid out, so having to be creative with theR1S. Got the induction and Jackery 3000, and. āFish cleaning tableā thatās my kitchen. Discovered that a 5 gallon water bottle now fits nicely...
So Iām confused.
1. Can I say my trailer is not a trailer, but a rear accessory? I assume that would be dangerous with a real trailerā¦
2. What if I have a luggage rack with no electrical connection? Do I have the ārear accessoryā option available so I can disable backup warnings?
So disagree. The other day, a school crossing guard, standing on the sidewalk at a corner, held up a handheld stop sign. My Tesla stopped. On a recent trip to Mexico, the Tesla stopped reliably at every āaltoā sign. A few years ago, this actually was rocket science, but itās not now. Much...
We were further south on the 101 (Santa Barbara-Paso Robles) with similar experience. Kicked us out of our free UHF multiple times. Of course, when I was hauling my travel trailer, I only got dumb cruise control anyhowā¦
My experience towing a 22ā airstream is very similar to yours. About 1.4 m/kwh efficiency, more than I thought, with lots of ups and downs along the California coast from LA to Paso Robles. Regen does some heavy charging on the downhills, since the trailer is actually pushing the truck...
Just used our Blue Ox for the first time on my Gen 2 R1S with Airstream 22ā in tow. Worked great, although I think I might have set it for too much tension at normal truck height. Also had to use their biggest drop setting to get it low enough for the trailer, which has already had a 6ā lift...
Iāve been very pleased with our first experience hauling our 22ā, 5000 lb airstream. 1.4 up hills, and 1.5 on the flat. It was a 200 mile trip, stopped twice on the recommendation of ABRP, both RAN sites that were relatively trailer friendly, so no need to disconnect. Also, the Rv park in Paso...
I know - we were just talking about that. Thor teased an e-version a while back, but I havenāt seen much more. More than that, Iād like Rivian lane centering and adaptive CC to work in trailer mode!
Just got back from a trip to Baja in my Model Y. Aside from getting lost at the border crossing, everything went well, and the lone Baja supercharger in Ensenada was never busy (maybe $0.55/kwh is the reason?) Unfortunately, it appears to be Tesla Only, so future plans involving the R1S will be...
Totally agree - lane changing aināt worth it. Had my MY for a year and the app says I use FSD 98% of the time - happy to pay $100/month, and it keeps getting better. I really hope RJ doesnāt abandon us for the bet-the-company R2 play, so I can have reasonable autonomy on a car that Iām not...
