Well, the two reference points I have to work with are from @Hodags who mentioned they received VIN 1134 on 6/10 in the evening and @donguanella who received VIN 1627 this morning. So that's 493 vehicles in 11.5 days for an average of roughly 43 produced per day assuming the factory runs 7 days...

I noticed per the tracker you now have a VIN and an estimated delivery date. Did you just get those today? I ordered the exact same spec as you and on the same date as you, and I haven't heard anything yet. Wondering if it's because CA is being prioritized and Las Vegas is just some poor bastard...

We were torn between Launch Green and Catalina Cove. Then we had our demo drive and they only had Half Moon Grey. Seeing it in person changed our mind. HMG looked fantastic. Still wish Limestone would have been an option though

I also received the invite on 6/16 and immediately placed the order and made the deposit. I did not receive the same email as you however about it not being too late. Does your Rivian account or app show that the order is confirmed and the deposit made?

Ordered 6/16, also Half Moon Grey but haven’t received any notices to begin the next steps in the process. Expected to hear something within 72 hours and hoped to get a VIN and delivery estimate. (Im)patiently waiting

The rough estimate was about $120 per month, $720 semi-annually. Unclear if that included the multi-car, multi-policy discount or not. He didn’t specify and I forgot to ask at the time.

My insurance agent, Jake from State Farm, was able to get me a quote using the MSRP and some specs of the R2. Had the same problem not being able to use an R2 VIN to look it up. The quote won't be exact but it was a good ballpark estimate.

Interesting. Seems really dumb on their part not to just take the order and give a delivery estimate of 3-5 months or something like that.

So the system won't let you place an order for Forest Green with Coastal Cloud and then just wait longer to receive? Why wouldn't they want that information or that order to be placed early?

Unfortunately, he also said in that interview that the large expansion timeline matches up with the opening of the Georgia plant. They will continue to expand until then, but the larger expansion coincides with their 2.0 cabinet which won't be until 2028.

I spoke to our local XPEL installer here and was told the same thing about the edges. This is a terrible value.

The $400 is in addition to the $100 reservation, to get to the normal $500 order deposit that is required on all other Rivian orders. As for a demo, at the Las Vegas demo center at least, they were accepting walk-in’s and fitting them in around the appointments where they could. You might try...
