  1. 1,000 Electrify America Chargers Coming to 200 TA Rest Stops Across the U.S.

I wouldn’t hold my breath for ccs fast chargers at buc-ees. The Bastrop one on the linked map only has Tesla superchargers. It also looked like super chargers going in at the temple location when I stopped there in December. Maybe they’re adding ccs chargers in addition to the Tesla ones?
  2. Service offering to give me free spare tire or should I request something else??

I just spent $1650 on a spare tire and kit at the service center yesterday, so yes, I’d be very happy to get one for free. If you don’t want it, you’ll find plenty of people who’ll buy it from you.
  3. Software Version 2023.02.0 [beta] -- Improved EPA range, key fob firmware, new door ajar notification, steering improvement & more...

Personally, if I was leading the dev teams at rivian, I would push for a release early in the week. Definitely not a Friday.
  4. First Tesla Supercharger location with CCS compatible "Magic Dock" plug discovered in app

Yeah, I'm not sure why everybody is assuming this is an accident? Tesla famously doesn't have a marketing team. I wouldn't expect the same kind of PR push from them that you might expect from other companies.
  5. Delivery canceled by Rivian less than 24 hours before delivery due to insurance expiring less than 90 days from now

I did have to add my R1T to my policy and send rivian the updated card but there was no mention of the expiration date, which was about 6 weeks after my delivery date.
  6. Can I charge from this outlet?

Just to follow up on this, I picked up an adapter on Amazon and am able to charge at 8kw. ONETAK NEMA 10-50P to 14-50R 240V... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XJM4SRJ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
  7. Latest EV tax credit status (as of 12/30/22) - summary by NYT

I pay… a lot… in federal income taxes. I have no problem getting $7500 back.
  8. How warm does everyone’s heated seats get?

This mirrors my experience. The seats and steering wheel feel lukewarm compared to my 2020 Wrangler with leather seats. My only explanation is that Jeep seemingly designed the heating elements to keep you warm on a cold day with no top or doors. The Rivian seats and steering wheel never make you...
  9. Your Rivian Christmas?

    Despite my best efforts apparently.
  10. Your Rivian Christmas?

Technically it wasn’t today, but it was my Christmas present this week:
  11. What do you want addressed in the next OTA update?

Dashcam. It’s clearly recording video and uploading it based on the gigs of data uploads over my network after each drive. Just let me access the camera feeds and transfer to usb c. Gate opener support. The garage door functionality is great but I need a gate opener to get in and out of my...
  12. Expedition Portal Tests R1S Off-Road While Towing 5000 lbs Trailer

Scott said that the Rivian (I’m not sure if he was referring to the T or the S) is the only manufacturer demo vehicle he has ever tried to purchase.
  13. Difference between the standard and high regen settings?

I picked up my r1t yesterday. It’s awesome! But I’m wondering what the difference is between the standard and high regen settings (beyond the obvious). When should I use one over the other? Does high lead to better range? Is it just personal preference? I’ve heard that lowering regen on...
  14. Any activity in the Austin, TX area?

Thanks. I ended up reaching out to Grayzer after some googling yesterday. They seemed to have good reviews on google and it looks like they just do ev charger installs. They got back to me right away with a quote and I think I’ll probably end up using them.
  15. Any activity in the Austin, TX area?

Looks like I'm going to be picking up my R1T before the end of the month. Anybody have any recommendations for an electrician to do the charger install in the Cedar Park/Leander area?
  16. Rivian Featured on Huckberry Homepage

I’m more of a Rolex man myself, but then again we are on a forum dedicated to $100k electric pickups and SUVs.
  17. Rivian Featured on Huckberry Homepage

I suppose it depends on your point of reference, but while Huckberry certainly has some nice stuff, I wouldn’t call it expensive.
