Sorry if I missed it; but, does the rack lock down to the crossbars if you use the T-nuts? And, does Kuat include locks with the rack. I have the Yakima; but, I have to load bikes backward to avoid the front wheel hitting the deflector and the adjustability (fore-aft) of the Yakima is limited.

I guess you can. The form you file asks for a VIN and the "in service" date. That's about all. From the VIN they can verify the value, etc.

There’s another jack option from evsportonline; but, that’s another $120. That jack package is probably better quality than the Rivian one. It’s a tough call. If I had confidence that we’ll see a Rivian package by July, I’d wait...

I was wrong. If you have a BPA and a VIN, and you file 8936 with 15Aug2022 as the "in service" date, you can claim the credit. My tax person is agreeing. Still, I view this as "audit bait" to some degree. If it was a couple of hundred dollars, I would forget it; but, $7500 is a decent amount...
