I have a quad for exactly a year and 17.5K miles. If it was totaled tomorrow, I would replace it with exactly the same configuration. Wouldn't be surprised if Rivian replaced the Bosch at some point but for now, they carry a better warranty, Bosch as a company isn't going anywhere, and the power...
Not at home but I found at a hotel I stay at fairly often has two Tesla destination chargers that frequently don't work. Asked about it and the breaker keeps tripping. The staff is happy to switch back on when asked. I found if I lower to <40a, it doesn't trip.
That is interesting. Whatever is wrong must be a little trickier to diagnose than mine. Richmond had it diagnosed, fixed, and observed resolved in a day. That was several months ago and no issues since.
I'm not sure, where do I find that? but my VIN is 14,3XX
There is a sticker on the drivers side door that has gross vehicle weight and other info. It is on the top right of that sticker (under the 2D bar code). Mine is 15xxx so pretty close but a little after.
So what will my options be? I got mine in 12/22. I had ordered a powered, but then I selected no tonneau in the gear shop earlier than initial delivery window. My truck arrived with no tonneau but it does have the power button on the side rail, and it has the compartment into which the powered...
Kuat is expensive but they last forever, are well designed, and they stand by their product. I had a part break a few years after I bought my most recent NV and they happily sent me a replacement part. (contractor backed into the first one otherwise I would still be using my first NV from 2014)
Thank you! I am a huge Kuat fan but don't love how the tailgate wont clear the NV 2 without a drop on the receiver... about to pick up a Piston SR and try that.
What size wheels are on your MTB and is there any risk for part that holds the front wheel hitting the back window or air deflector...
I would recommend you measure the drop on an hourly basis (in tire change mode, offroad). I had a drop of about 1" an hour in the rear. The Richmond SC replaced the airblock about a month ago and no noticeable drop since (+ compressor barely runs).
@DTown3011 BTW: Here was the writeup when it was resolved (they had some of the times wrong but you get the idea). It lost about an inch an hour and bottomed out.
Yes, exactly. I put it in offroad + tire change, then took a ruler from the ground to the top of the driver and passenger side (rear in my case) every hour (+/-) for like 4 hours. Tire to wheel well is probably also effective. That may help the SC diagnose.
This looks very similar to what I had except on the front vs the back. If you have some time, I would recommend you measure on an hour by hour basis after putting on offroad / tire change. Hope they can get it resolved quickly / easy.
They did. The SC found the air block was leaking. Replaced and it has been fine for several weeks since. Here is another thread on the similar suspension issues others have had.
Just a quick update. Got the truck back yesterday afternoon and it sat overnight. I didn't observe any drop (normally would bottom out after a few hours) so looking good!
They didn't but I just dropped my car off Thursday 8a and they had time to observe and make sure it wasn't leaking when they called me at 4p Friday.
I did exactly the same as the ruler test above which is how I got the 1" per hour drop. I would recommend you put it in tire change mode which...
5 minutes after I posted this, they called me back. The found the air block for the right side was leaking badly. They replaced and observed and said it is good now. They said a little drop after setting for several days is normal and the right side tends to drop a little more but mine was way...
I just dropped mine off at the Richmond SC yesterday. Will update when I get it returned. Interestingly enough, mine was primarily on one side (rear passenger)...that side dropped an inch an hour (same in any mode, tire change or not).
BTW: Mine was delivered this way so not an issue that...
I have a November build with just over 2K miles on it now.
Uneven suspension (passenger side lower/higher)
My passenger rear is losing air since delivery
Missing bolts from underside.
Two of the bolts that hold various trim pieces on the bottom sheered off - likely from over tightening...
Totally agree on the location. Lot's of other places that would be easier to do _something_ while your car is charging...
BTW: On the Rivian charger, I think you can easily walk to Bass Lake / Moses Cone trails from there too. Taking a quick hike while your Rivian charges would be a very...
