Dark-FX, I think you missed my point. I do not text while I am driving. Instead, I pull over, park, read the text, and respond. This is becoming a pain, especially since my other car, a 2017 Honda, has hands-free texting.
What can we do as individuals or as a community to stress how much we need to be able to do hands-free texting while driving? Out of all the OTA cool features and enhancements Rivian has published, how come we are still missing what I consider a safety feature?
How about a seasonal mode instead of a holiday mode? As an example, when you are in snow-driving mode, you see snowflakes falling on the driver's screen, and unlocking or locking the door, you hear a few notes of "Let it Snow". You folks are more creative than me so let's hear your thoughts.
My only issue with Alexa is when my backseat passengers (grandkids) decide the music I was listening to was not for them, and they ask Alexa to change the music. Do you think I should have a gag under the backseat? JUST KIDDING.
Question - I had ordered and returned a magnetic Jack Puck. The magnets were loose and had fallen out of the Jack Puck. I was concerned that if I used these Jack Pucks, they would stay inside my R1T, and retrieving them would be a pain. How are the magnets attached to your Jack Pucks?
Still no TEXTING capabilities. Every time I am driving, someone sends me a text, and I either have to pull over to unlock my phone or wait an hour or later to respond to their text. My wife's 2017 Honda CRV has this! So what is the deal? Does anybody have a suggested workaround?
My Input as an early R1T owner:
1. My Guide is excellent. She helped me many times during my order process, updated the delivery schedule, and recently answered my email about RAN coming soon.
2. Customer Service so far has been good. I called a few times about different questions and Have...
I emailed my Guide about when the grand opening of the Charlotte RAN, and below is her response.
I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend. Thank you so much for reaching out to us about the Rivian charging station in the works in Charlotte, NC. I'm happy to hear from you again and I hope you...
I just went by the REI in Charlotte Northlake Shopping Center and noticed that the Rivian chargers have been installed but have not been turned on. They have been working on these RAN units for months, and it shouldn't be long before they are online.
I had my tires rotated and balanced for 68 and change. I believe they would have rotated my tires for free if I had purchased them at Discount Tire. My tires were the original tire that came with the truck.
I took my R1T in for a tire rotation at Discount Tire last week and found out they did not have the jack pucks for a Rivian. So, I order a set of four Rivigear jack pucks from Amazon. Shortly after my jack pucks arrived, I received a call from the Concord, NC store manager Brian. While there...
