Religious holidays are a legal and PR minefield. Don't hold your breath.
I was talking to someone at work about this. With religious holidays some people are offended if it’s celebrated in a certain way. And also, if Rivian included some religious holidays but not others from other religions, some people would see that as alienating. I also don’t think they need so many themes it becomes annoying. It’s a no win situation. Look how many people complained about this years organ instead of owl, some people will always find something to complain about. They could do an animation screen on startup on the anniversary of your purchase date though.

I think my truck should play Happy Birthday when I open the door on my birthday.

Didn’t Halloween start as a pagan holiday?
Independence Day and Thanksgiving should be straightforward.
Only if they also do Canada Day and Canadian Thanksgiving for us north of the border. Or I see a legion of angry Canucks loading our maple syrup cannons and aiming them south!

I don’t know about adding additional holidays, but maybe these themed modes would be fun: “SteamPunk”, “Outerspace/Spaceship”, “Nature/Outdoorsy”, “Whimsy”, and “Robot”

Pi day, May the 4th, Earth Day, April Fools (where the trunk button opens the frunk and vice versa - safety considerations notwithstanding), New Years, etc. :)

With Halloween mode officially a hit, I think it's time for other holiday specific modes or even limited time easter egg modes. For example:

Christmas Mode.
Lock unlock = sleigh bells
Big truck = Santas sleigh + reindeer
Pedestrians = elves
Bicyclists = reindeer or abominable snowmen
Lighting = red and green
Open the gear tunnel and see a grinch popping out.
After enabling, Alexa asks whether you want to play Christmas music

Other holidays: St Patricks Day, Easter Mode, Holi, July 4, Hanukkah, Thanksgiving, Groundhog Day, Cinco de Mayo? You could setup some pretty interesting graphics, sounds, and lighting for each of these.

Exactly. And Rivian has to be its own brand, not be a me-too to the other one that is passing out parlor tricks like halloween candy. Plus, the more themes there are, the less special each become. Majority of the lesser complaints are those wishing their Rivian to be more like something else. Make you wonder why they bought one instead of that something else. Did they not know what they were buying?

This does not fit the Rivian Ethos…… oooops, wrong thread…. ;)

In all seriousness (ok, it’s really gin on the rocks drinkstormng), Rivian could skirt the stupid Politically Correct minefield by adding a “Skin” feature to the Rivian app. Provide pixel mask areas for each image (motorcycle, pedestrian, Gary, etc.) and let the user create their own skins/themes and sounds, and share themes on a Rivian hosted server, like 3D printing’s Thingiverse. ?

How about a seasonal mode instead of a holiday mode? As an example, when you are in snow-driving mode, you see snowflakes falling on the driver's screen, and unlocking or locking the door, you hear a few notes of "Let it Snow". You folks are more creative than me so let's hear your thoughts.

This is perfect. Snow flakes, sleigh bells (instead of a song) and blue lighting would be fun without offending anyone.

They could make it available from Thanksgiving to New Year's.
